I'm having a hard time finding a header image for my website. Suggested dimensions are 1400x280 and i cant seem to find any pics that will meet those dimensions or get close. C
take an image that is bigger and then resize them towards your liking. Alternatively you can choose a different theme and not have to bother with that type of top images.
Steven
I use Pexels.com and here you can specify which kind of image dimension you want. So you will definitely get images for your blog posts.
I understand your frustration because you want that perfect image, but you can't find a way to manipulate the image file.
I personally use PicMonkey - https://www.picmonkey.com/
You can easily resize the image. You can also crop images based on whatever pixel dimensions you set. It's a very useful and free platform to help edit your image files.
I create my own. You can use free tools like canva or pixlr.com/editor. canva has templates as well as the ability to make one with a custom size and they have images you can use as well as upload some of your own to add to it

It sounds like its some sort of plug-in, but what purpose does it serve? How will it help with building my website?
Its going to help get your site ranked. It is a necessary part of each site and is needed for the search engines to scour your site.
In the training, it will tell you how to make all the settings and to activate it.
All my best to your success,
Doug

For Premium members, when building my website, is the Site Speed option under Site Plus an option i want to keep on at all times? What reasons would i not want it on?
SiteSpeed should always stay ON as it greatly speeds up your website. When you make updates to your website, any cached files are removed, so your site will always show your changes!
Cheers,
Carson
It's a cache system, so if you are making updates on your site and they're not showing, you might want to turn it off so that you can see what's happening. Also, be aware that if it's turned on, your visitors may not see any updates until the cache refreshes.
@Rich,
SiteSpeed cached pages/posts are deleted when changes are made to the website from the ADMIN area so the site will always show the current version of the website as changes are made, new posts are added, or plugins / themes updated etc.
Carson
Thanks Carson. I was pretty certain that's how it should be working, but a number of members have told me their sites weren't updating immediately when they were making changes, so assumed that SiteSpeed caching their sites was the issue.
If it's only happening to members in my time zone, is it possible that one of the servers distributing to Europe isn't updating as quickly as it should?
Perhaps if you have a theme that works best with a site speed plug in instead the site speed option from WA?

As a Premium Member, how should i build my first website? Using the free domain website option or by using my own domain?
I did the free site first which got indexed in about 6 days, then I went premium and decided to buy my own.
The new site took 7 days to get indexed.
In my mind, I would go with your own site because it takes time to get ranked and if you start getting the free site ranked and then change it to your own, it may take more time to get ranked again.
All my best to your success,
Doug
if you are practicing going through the training then free domain is fine for a while, but if you are starting building out content in your niche then you are getting a foot in the door with google by starting on your own domain regarding building your website authority and business...imo
i see. Do you think its a good idea to maybe use the free domain as kind of a practice run? And once i feel that i have something established with my niche, rebuild my website on my own domain?
yes, you are not wasting work with the free website as it can all be transferred at the click of a button to an own domain, that is a nice feature of this platform
I heard a superaffiliate recently say just go publish your content - however, if you are really just starting then you are going to want to try this and that, get used to pages and posts , your website structure, and no harm playing around for a little while - once you start you'll get a feel for when you are ready to move onto your own domain- it doesn't have to take very long
Sweet. Kyle mentioned the feature towards the end of his "Build your website in 30 seconds" video. Thank you for the insight.
