Update - Still No Traffic
So, I've been with WA for about 6/7 months now. I have worked hard on my site (Twobunniesandadog.com). I have had barely any traffic coming to my site. I have used keywords, I'm on facebook, pinterest, instagram, and twitter. I tried Linked In but only have so much time and I didn't take to Linked in too well. I have lots of followers on instagram and getting up there with twitter. Having a hard time getting followers on pinterest and I'm not sure if I'm using pinterest and facebook right (given that I'm not getting any traffic).
Every time I have an issue (like currently I have an issue with the menu not being clickable on the home page on cell phones), I reached out to SiteSupport and (nothing against them, because they are pretty great), but this is about the 5th time they tell me to try another theme. I am sick of trying different themes. I have had to switch themes numerous times and re-configure everything ALL over again each time.
I already got an email from Amazon saying that I have not sold anything and they will close my affiliate account in 90 days if no sales are made.
So.. I'm going back through the training all over again, seeing if I'm missing anything. But does anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe if anyone has a moment to look at my site and tell me if they see something that I am just completely doing wrong, I'd so very much appreciate it.

Oh yeah, the ol’ it’s a theme issue ploy. They really should stop using that. I have Divi as my theme and I won’t bore you with the details but I hosted at WPX for $25/mo. Tried to move to WA. It broke my site and was told it was a theme problem. I move back to WPX and everything was fine. Guys REALLY! That’s a way of saying we won’t help you. I don’t have patience for that. Quit changing themes. You need stability. You need a premium theme with integrity. You may need some help to take a look at what your doing. There is so much to SEO that can affect your traffic. If you can find someone willing to work with you and analyze your website build sometimes that helps.
Thank you Michelle! Although I'm NOT glad that you have had to also suffer the "theme issue" but I am glad to know that I haven't been the only one having to deal with this theme frustration.
Thank you very much for your advice! :)
Awww dear - I feel your frustration! And I LOVE your site - your bunnies and dog are adorable!
Some of the others have suggested it and I can affirm - find an active forum in your niche (either dogs or bunnies) and leave quality comments. Make sure that you have your website name in your Bio (if that is allowed) - and make sure that you always stay within the forum rules regarding where you are to place your link and where not.
If people see that you are giving quality advise, they will be curious as to who this helpful person is, and will go to your Bio, discover your website address, and go check it out.
I KNOW - it sounds like such a drag, doesn't it? But listen to this...
A few years ago we made a website for a few eBooks that Hubby wrote (technical stuff) and the only "promotion" that he did was on forums. On one forum he could pay to have his website link included in his signature. He also made a YouTube video "teaser" - that gave a little bit of info and then referred them to his website.
But.... we got impatient, the sales was not coming in fast and furious enough and at some point he decided that Aweber is too expensive for the amount of sales, so he tried another auto-responder that we never could get going, so he just abandoned the whole project.
Well, a few days ago he decided to search on Google and you know what? That website and forum posts rank something CRAZY! His YouTube teaser video had thousands of views and angry comments because his website was down and the links were not working! Can you believe it, the people was ANGRY because they wanted to buy his eBooks and they couldn't!!
Lessons learned, I tell you! If we didn't give up so quickly, if we weren't so impatient, he could probably have already resigned his job by now!
So please Rebecca, keep going!!! I know it is frustrating and super discouraging, but please keep going, don't give up! Now when we look back, we say to each other that it was pretty lousy of us to let such a small obstacle stop us really. Please learn from us and don't repeat our stupid mistake! ;-)
I'm sending you an e-hug dear! Laugh long and hard, cry if you have to, but keep going. ;-) Will you?
Oh, and please give that beautiful dog and bunnies a hug on my behalf too! ;-)
Rebecca, just to let you know... after writing the above comment, I went ahead and shared this story with the rest of the community, as my very first blog post. I hope it will help all who feel discouraged at times to press through and to keep going! Slow progress? Discouraged? Learn from our mistake! Wishing you all the best!

Oh Sharlee...How can I thank you for these words for encouragement? I truly appreciate you taking the time to look at my site and getting me to keep my chin up!
I WILL definitely keep going. :) I won't give up!
Thank you for telling me the story about you and your hubby's site. Helps me keep the hope and faith.
And the buns and Chata send you lots of kisses and hugs too! :)
Thank you!!
Becca
Dearest Rebecca, I am grateful if our story helped you (or anybody else) to stay focused and not to loose heart!
I received the bunnies and Chata's "hugs and kisses" (and lick'ies) LOL! - thank you! ;-) This profile photo of yours is SOOO cute - with Chata so affectionately resting his head on your shoulder, I think he wants to convey the message that you are HIS special mama! ;-) Very nice photo!
Sending you a hug too Rebecca - keep strong and keep going! ;-)

A good way to get traffic when your site is not ranking in Google yet is choosing long tail keywords with 4 words or more.
For best results find something with over 100 searches and below 50 QSR (competition). One example of this could be:
"List of foods dogs should not eat". (120 searches with 20 competing websites for this keyword)
On a personal note: in the beginning, I wrote over 40 posts with keywords that didn't rank well because I couldn't find good long tail keywords.
Also, give yourself time to understand your niche and build an audience. Sales will come after that.
I think you have a great niche and your website looks good. It's only a matter of finding the long tail keywords with high monthly searches and low competition.
Hey there C! Thank you SO much for taking the time to look at my site. I felt discouraged there for a bit thinking I just wasn't doing any of this right.
I am going through each of my current posts to revise using long tail keywords.
I really appreciate your feedback!
Thank you!

Hi Becca, glad I could be of any help!
It takes time and work to build a successful website. Just be patient and don't focus too much on analytics yet. At the beginning, it's more frustrating than helpful.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Wishing you all the best!
There's another WA member Marion who's got lots of informative stuff that might help you get thru this. I know cuz I was in the same issues that your having. Check her out and see if that helps. It helped my site and I don't even know how I did it. But it did get fixed. Good luck.
Hey Xavier! Thanks so much for the light at the end of the tunnel! I do follow Marion and I will definitely check out her stuff.
Thank you again!
Becca
I have the same problem. The only way I get traffic is if I ask people on here to comment on my post.
I love the site. It's great!
You may want to join and engage and comment on similar groups on SM.
Blog on a public forum etc.
All the best!
David
Sorry! I worded that badly. I meant you will have to join relevant (niche related) communities and groups on Google + etc.
Then you can post your articles to the relevant groups. Just make sure when you are posting your articles from your site (via your social icons), post to the right community.
David
Thanks David. I will do that. In my research I have come across many Baby sites and their are discussions, so I will join in. Thanks!
Thank you so much David! I really appreciate you taking the time to take a look at my site. Sometimes I feel like I am way off but thanks to you guys I'm feelin more encouraged. I have joined similar groups on GooglePlus and will look for more! :)
Thank you!

Hello Rebecca, I see the problem with the menu on my smartphone and it could be the theme like site support says or may be it is a matter of how you saved your menu on your dashboard. In terms of traffic you have traffic, by the looks of the comments on the posts that provide information. You might look at doing more of those. The object is to get people to stay longer on your site. That way increasing the possibility of a sale through the affiliates.
Hey Harvey! Thank you for taking the time to look at my site. I appreciate your advice and feedback! Still trying to figure out the problem with the menu on smartphones is but not giving up!

Your website is blocked from my work computer so I can't look at it now but I will later.
In the meantime, here is what I would suggest. Stop trying to use social media as a source of traffic.
It might sound harsh but it is just a waste of time when you are starting out. I spent way too much time on it and got barely anything in return. Almost all of my traffic is organic or from WA. I get very little from social media.
You will be much better off adding content with great keywords and working up to getting organic traffic. Social media takes too much time for the amount of return. You need that time to build up your site first, then once it is up and running, making sales and getting lots of organic traffic, you can spend time on social media to get MORE traffic.
Be very active in getting comments from other WA members also. Good comments are the fastest way to get traffic and increase your Google ranking on your posts and entire site. When I focus on comments it always helps. Comments show activity on your site which Google likes and also engagement with your audience. They also add length to your posts which is another thing Google likes. Sometimes WA members see something they are interested in and buy it or buy other things when they are on Amazon after clicking through your links too!
That is my advice after almost 2 years here. I will check out your site and leave a comment.
I really hope it picks up soon for you!
