Hi there, I am not sure if I can put 5 or more internal links in one blog post( 400 - 1000 words). I need to add more internal link directed to my own pages, because in that wa
You add links to provide a good info, this is the main purpose, plus reducing bounce rate, plus transferring authority from one page to another. There are trainings by Jay. You want visitor to read the current text and not to immediately jump to another.

What I know about internal link is, it provides an extra description of information in case when user do not understand the term we put in the paragraph and I hope more internal links does not give the negative impact. 5 internal link or less than that I think should be OK . I am going to test.
I don't think there's any right or wrong answer, Rendall: I think as long as it looks proportionate to your articles, you're free to use them as you wish. I probably wouldn't go over 5 though, as you say.

2 or 3 is common in an 800 word post. The rest of your links should be internal (to other pages of your own website) Too many affiliate links is like standing on a soapbox and shouting all sorts of crazy anoying things out loud; Google will ignore you.

I think 30 internal links in a post is a bit crazy. That is unless your post upwards of 6,000 words. I think a good rule of thumb, and a maximum at that, is one internal link per 200 to 300 words.

Do you have NOFOLLOW set on your site? Why is 'nofollow' Important?
