Do you love learning new money-making skills from Wealthy Affiliate University as much as I do?

I am absolutely amazed at the volume of information being added daily at WAU.Everything from the basics of launching a web site in minutes to writing content, drawing traffic and making money from your online business is available to anyone who loves learning.

A little over a year ago I was bound by the limiting belief that I could not build my own website.I had all these ideas rolling around in my head for an online business but I was afraid of the technical challenge of developing a website from scratch. Within a few days of starting my first training course, I had a functioning website. Not bad for a gal with zero skills in the online technology department.

A year later I have two sites dedicated to my coaching practice, a local marketing site and a site designed to help stay at home women earn more money. And even better news…you too can build your own website business.All it takes is a good instructor and a willingness to learn.

Learning leads to earning. The more you learn, the more you earn. Many Premium Members in the Wealthy Affiliate community have learned new skills and put them to good use to earn money from home. While some have focused on earning money with affiliate marketing, others have applied their knowledge to local marketing.

I just read a post from Premium Member, “Trialyn” who earned $1,250 from building one website for the children’s department at her church. Like me, she started with no technical knowledge. I read a good book recently that centered around 24 Rules for Becoming an Adult Prodigy. It’s called, The Talent Code.It was written by Daniel Coyle. You can pick it up on Amazon for $11.99 for your Kindle reader.

What I found so fascinating, is that many of the rules Coyle discusses are similar to the success rules that you’ll learn from WAU. Listed below are just a few of the rules that Coyle suggests that adult prodigies apply to regular life:

“Rule 1. Pick a skill you were always fascinated by — one that you’ve already spent lots of time thinking about and admiring. Because all those hours is not just a sign of motivation; it’s also your head start to high-quality practice. You’ve already built some good circuitry, so use it.

Rule 3. Write down a big-picture plan. It doesn’t need to be too elaborate; it needs to contain some targets and strategies. Most important: figure out a daily routine, see if it’s working, then adapt it as you go along.

Rule 6. Be secretly and irrationally arrogant. Fear is what keeps people from learning new things, and getting rid of that fear however you choose is a good idea. So be cocky, gutsy, and willing to go to the edges of your ability even if (especially if) that means you sometimes look a little foolish. In other words, channel your inner Kobe Bryant.

Rule 9: Find the best teacher you can afford. One of the advantages of being an adult is that, unlike a kid, you can choose your own teacher. This is not a small thing. Find someone you like, and who maybe scares you a little (that is often a good sign).”

Coyle’s rules for adult learners applied to Wealthy Affiliate are similar…

Rule 1: Pick a profitable niche that fascinates you.

Rule 2: Write down a big-picture plan.Include your business and personal goals; adapt it as you go along.

Rule 3: Don’t be fearful.Everything you need to build a successful online business is at your fingertips.

Rule 4: Find the best teacher/coach/mentor you can afford to help you develop your online business.
