Floods of Content

Something that you need to understand as an affiliate marketer is that your prospective customers are being flooded with content.

But they still have the same old limited amount of time to devote to consuming it.

Limited Time / Content Flood = Ever Diminishing Attention Span

Unfortunately, many starters think that once they've built their website, written some keyword-rich articles, got some affiliate links and driven some traffic, visitors will buy what they're promoting.

It might have been true once, but not any more.

They just don't believe you when you say "Hey, buy this thing. It's just what you need and better than all the rest."

Earn Their Trust

You have to earn their trust.

I'll circle back to that.

The Effect of the Pandemic

It all started with the pandemic.

People were forced to sit at home, desperate for entertainment.

If you produced a video with useful content, people would watch it, including the promo message at the end.

And if you were brave enough to do a live broadcast, you were assured of an audience.

With that many people desperate for content, the inevitable happened.

Marketers started to produce floods of content.

Making your job much harder.

Then Along Came AI

What a game changer.

Now pretty much any idiot could produce scintillating content.

The only talent you needed now was how to create a good prompt and the ability to run a critical eye over the result.

Look at the "flood" image I created for this post.

I can barely draw a straight line, but to get this image, I prompted ChatGPT with "create a steampunk image of Noah's ark in landscape orientation".

That doesn't require a great deal of talent.

So we now have a tsunami of content overwhelming your prospective customers, making it even harder to get their attention.

Which brings us back to ...

Earn Their Trust

You do this by providing useful free content that resonates with the conversation that's already happening in their minds.

So if you're promoting Wealthy Affiliate, for example, you need to target someone who's already wondering how they can supplement or replace their income with an online business. They've probably at least heard of Affiliate Marketing.

If you can produce a PDF or Video titled "10 Things You Must Know to Become an Affiliate Marketer" and give it away on your website in exchange for your visitor's name and email address, you are well on your way to building a list of potential customers.

Your automated follow-ups need to nurture that trust and provide additional value, so that when you "reveal" that all this great stuff that you know came from your Wealthy Affiliate membership and that they should join too and you will be their personal mentor, then it's just the logical conclusion to that conversation in their head that you entered right at the start.

This post has inspired me. This is what I have taken away from your content that resonates with an issue I was having with creatives.

The past couple of days, I have been experimenting with PikaLabs-AI in Poe for Prompts then sending it to Dall-E,

My Request- steampunk picture of noah's arc

The Response- /create prompt: A magnificent steampunk rendition of Noah's Ark, towering over the stormy waters with its intricate gears, pipes, and steam-powered engines, the ark adorned with brass accents and Victorian-era design elements, dark and moody atmosphere with swirling storm clouds and lightning in the background, a unique and fantastical interpretation of the biblical story, cinematic wide shots capturing the grandeur of the ark and its mechanical marvels, 4K high-quality visuals, --gs 22 --neg "no modern technology" --ar 16:9 --seed 1357

I read nearly everyone of your post. I say nearly because there may have been something I have not yet found to read. I am thankful for the amount of thought you place into your post. This one in particular has solved my problem. IT forced me to try prompts instead of relying on other programs for real pictures. I showed me another way to get High Quality creatives for my post. The benefits of using prompts then Dall-E vs. trying to describe to Dall-E what you want has made a tremendous impact in the speed of creation leaving me time to focus on content creation.

You are an awesome content creator, a fact I wanted to Highlight in the comments for everyone to see. Thank You and keep up the excellent work.

Michael

Thank you so much, Michael. I'm knocked out by your comments.

You’re very welcome you deserve the recognition for the hard work you do.

😊😍😁

Hi Phil, I love the AI photo of Noah's Ark. AI is creative when using the correct prompts. "Steampunk" is an idea that I would not have thought of at all. I do enjoy looking at the variety of creations that AI art can do.

I do appreciate you telling the truth; it's so true that writing a blog post does not guarantee a sale.

Trust factor is essential. I am aware of using a PDF or a video (that I need to learn how to do). I am not able to figure out the technical part.

I did see you mentioned it before in one of your training. I need to learn how to get a PDF on a page where they can access it. Let me know if you have training on that.

I have a landing page created in HTML code by ChatGPT; now, I need to figure out where to put the HTML code page for a series of follow-ups with autoresponder emails. I am struggling with where to put it on the page.

The video part is what I struggle with, too. I need help understanding how to use it. I know you use AI for it, but so much software out there requires money, which I don't have. Free software has a "watermark." to remove it, you must be a paid subscriber like Pictory.

I had an issue with GP Premium. I got so fed up with speed issues and GSC telling me many missing code errors. I switched to Kadence on my WA site, so now both my PPC site and WA promotion are using the Kadence theme. My speed for mobile is 100 and desktop 100, so it's all good on both sites.

Yes, I totally love generating these images.

Hopefully, this training will help with your other questions:

Good advice and reminder, Phil.

Thanks, Jeff. I hope it helps some members.

I am sure that it will, Phil!

Jeff

WOW! Great advice Phil!
