Excited About My New Baby
Excited About My New Baby
No, not a steampunk stork delivering a real baby. What were you thinking?
This baby is my new Happy, Fit and Slim paid training course.
I aim to launch it first quarter this year.
It will be a 12-week course containing diet, exercise and supplement advice for each day of the 12 weeks, so 84 separate lessons. It aims to take participants on a journey to a new lifestyle.
A combination of video and text-based training with plenty of downloadable resources.
I have 3 things to put in place:
- The course itself, along with its associated resources, set up to drip feed to participants on a weekly basis.
- SEO and PPC ads targeting my prospective audience, as per the chart below.
- A launch sequence based on the principles covered in my recent blog post
Floods of Content.
30-59 is a huge population. And that's just the US. The statistics from the UK, Canada and Australia are probably similar. I'm yet to investigate that.
Of course, my target audience also has to be willing and able to make a substantial financial contribution to achieving their goals.
The reason I'm posting this is so that other members who might be considering creating and publishing their own training courses can follow this journey and determine for themselves what works and what doesn't.
But whatever, it's heaps of fun.

Phil, this is what you've been beavering away with recently. Sounds and looks great!
I'm interested in online courses. I've created a few already but want to get better at it. I'd love to know more about your journey therefore.
Which platform are you using? Udemy? LearnWorlds? TalentLMS?
Would be good to have a recommendation from you.
Super work. And you sound so joyful about it! Not work eh, actually?
Success and even more joy!
You absolutely need to love what you do, Charley. Then you never have to "work".
I use the Thrive Suite on all of my websites. But please note that it's not recommended by Wealthy Affiliate.
One of the Thrive plugins is called Thrive Apprentice and it's specifically for creating training courses.
Ooo, that's good to know. Never heard of that one. Why isn't it approved here?
Yes, I love what I do nowadays. Each day is heaven compared with my day job which seems a complete nightmare now I've retired. 'Work' is just a propaganda concept to me in retrospect! Imagine a world full of people enjoying their productivity and generating value which is renumerated appropriately.
Well, we're getting there with WA.
I think it may simply be considered too complex for some members. Though the word I'd use is comprehensive.
Glad you enjoy your "work" too.
Good to know. I'll try it. I like 'comprehensive.'
Yep, love every moment. In fact there aren't enough hours in the day!
There is a massive audience. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out for you. Great idea, Phil.
Thanks, Susan. I'd only have to get a (very) small percentage to be wildly successful. Easier said than done, though.
I am indeed doing that. That's why the promotion and launch are as important as the course itself.

Hi there, Phil.
Did you hear the news? The diet-related products are a billion-dollar business. By the way, the Gen Z and Millennials are a real gold mine and they have the wherewithal too. You are right on the money, for sure.
As long as they get a high-quality product, everything is copacetic. However, us seniors are getting fit too, so we are still in the fold, right? Look out for the Granpreneurs.

You're right, Rachele. It's a big market (in both senses of the word). All I need is a great product and to target the right audience.
Absolutely, Phil.
You got the IT tough too.
This is a no-brainer for you.

The stork is pretty impressive, Phil.
I just love the AI generated steampunk images.
It goes with your personality too. Phil.
Steam or punk? Lol.
