Let’s have a look at Wealth File Number 9

Here is a short introduction for those who’ve just joined my series:

I’m reading the book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” by T. Harv Eker. He has found out 17 ways of thinking and of taking action, which are essential if we want to get really successful and wealthy. He calls these ways of thinking “Wealth Files”. Throughout my journey to a Millionaires Mindset I’m sharing these Wealth Files with you.

Wealth File #9:

“Rich people are bigger than their problems.”

“Poor people are smaller than their problems.

Wealth Principle:

"The secret to success is not to try to avoid or get rid of or shrink from your problems; the secret is to grow yourself so that you are bigger than any problem."

Poor people will do almost anything to avoid problems.
If they see a challenge they run away.

But whether you are rich or poor, problems do not go away. As long as you are breathing, you will always have problems (challenges) and obstacles in your life.

  • The bigger the problems you can handle, the bigger the business you can handle.
  • The bigger the responsibility you can handle, the more employees you can handle.
  • The more customers you can handle, the more money you can handle and ultimately the more wealth you can handle.

Rich and successful people are solution-oriented; they spend their time and energy strategizing and planning the answers to challenges that come up, and creating systems to make certain that problem doesn’t occur again.

Poor and unsuccessful people are problem-oriented. Theys pend their time and energy complaining and seldom come up with anything to alleviate the problem.

Rich people do not complain about problems, do not avoid problems, and do not complain about problems.

Become a master at handling problems and overcoming obstacles, then nothing can stop you from getting successful!

Millionaire Mind Actions:

  1. Whenever you are feeling upset over a“big” problem, then take a deep breath and say to yourself, “I can handle this. I am bigger than any problem.”

  2. Write down a problem you are having in your life. Then list specific actions you can take to resolve or at least improve this situation. This will move you from problem thinking into solution thinking. Visualize how good it will feel, when the problem finally has been resolved .Then take action!

Speak out following Declaration loud and clear to yourself, to underline your intention:

“I am bigger than any problems.”

“I can handle any problems.”

My own experiences:

Whenever I am feeling upset over something I do take a deep breath and tell myself, that the problem won’t disappear just because I’m getting upset and angry. I’ve always been rather a calm person, but inside me I fight against the upset feelings.

I have lately discovered the healing effect of meditation. It helps to relax and it is also very healthy for our brain and body. There are many great meditation videos on youtube. Many, many successful people do meditate every day, for example Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Tim Ferris. It makes us resilient, which helps us to overcome obstacles and find solutions for any problem.

Remember:

YOU CREATE YOUR SUCCESS, ONLY YOU, SO BE AWARE of your THOUGHTS and TAKE ACTION.

Pernilla - Excellent post. This about sums it up.

"Rich people do not complain about problems, do not avoid problems, and do not complain about problems."

Rich people or successful people see problems as opportunities and capitalize on them for their benefit.

Look at problems as possibilities and it will lead to eventual success.

Patrick, I'm grateful for your comment!

cheers PB

Thank you Phil!

Yes, it will pay dividends, I'm working very hard on changing my mindset and I already feel more confident since I started to read this books and other similar books/videos, by for example Tony Robbins, Timothy Ferris, Brian Tracy. It just needs time to change a thought structure, but it is necessary if I want to be successful in business.

Your mission is to fulfill your vision!

Lorrie, I appreciate your comment a lot.

Yes, it is important to read and learn from other successful people. If we follow their advices and take action, then we will achieve our goals a bit faster than by doing trial after trial all by ourselves.

Follow your vision,
soon you'll fulfill your mission!
:-)

I like how you took the main points of this tidbit from the book and expanded on it to make it your own, which helps us internalize the lessons...Good job, good read, and good info! Thanks (now I will have to go back through and look at some of the other posts you have made from the book!)! Cheers! Dave : )

Hello Dave!

Thank you very much for the compliments, really makes my confidence grow!!

I just love this book, it has opened up my eyes to how important it is to have the right mindset if you want to be successful. It needs a lot of work and repetition until the new thought structure gets manifested, but it is really worth it.

Hope you'll like the other Wealth File-posts too.

Cheers,
:-)

I am sure I will! : )

Eker is a confident guy, and his preaching of confidence is powerful, because it works.

Thanks for this, Pernilla. We all have times when we need to remember that we WILL WIN over that pesky problem...

Steve, so true, so true - we will win, we will overcome the obstacles.

A positive mindset is what we need.
Confidence makes us succeed!

Work with dedication!

This is good information. My mother's side of the family came from millianaire's. My grandparents were very rich. When they passed away, they left their entire fortunes to 3 of their 18 children because they knew the farmland would get split up and become useless if they didn't. My grandfather was born rich, and he was always working hard and creating new ventures while the market was high, but had these ventures set up so that it was easy to walk away from when the market shifted. That is how I do with one of my businesses that is not online. I am currently running at 50% because of the market, but I will ramp up when the market settles. You have to not be afraid to take chances and willing to invest your personal money at times. I never got a bank loan because I do not like paying interest. I learned this from my grandfather.

Hello Stanley!

I'm happy to hear that you liked my post. Thank you so much for your very interesting comment.

You seem to have inherited the mindset of your grandfather. That's the most valuable legacy of all, I think. Knowledge no one can take away from you. Knowledge is the foundation for success.

It's a great advice to not be afraid of taking chances and be willing to do wise investments.

Wish you ongoing success!
:-)
