(Something Completely NEW) Allow Me to Blow Your “Original & Unique” Mind
DISCLAIMER: This blog post has been researched and written by ME. No AI has been fondled in the making of this blog post, unfortunately you’ll have to put up with solely my thoughts, musings, and ideas.
What’s up Wacky Affiliates, long time no speak!
Firstly, my annual renewal has just gone through, so unfortunately you’re stuck with me for at least another 12 months.
And you know what, I’m gonna dial things up a notch or ten over the coming year, so keep an eye out.
Okay, let me set the scene:
You've watched a great video/webinar by Kyle, Jay, or one of the illustrious Premium Plus trainers, and there’s two words that stick in your mind, and you hear them over-and-over again.
ORIGINAL & UNIQUE
"Ensure you write original and unique content."
You think great, I’m so happy I watched this class, I am now going to go and write some ORIGINAL & UNIQUE content.
You sit down at your laptop, stare at a blank page, and one thought keeps going through your mind:
“What the Hell is Original & Unique Content Anyway?”
Realistically, how many of you are actually writing something very original, from your point of view, and with information that not everyone else is writing about?
I’m going to hazard a guess - VERY FEW!
Not to worry, I am going to show you something NEW!
What’s an Observational Case Study Partha?
When it comes to original and unique content it’s going to be difficult.
If you think about it, every single ounce of information and knowledge in all of human history is right at your fingertips - Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the INTERNET.
There is absolutely nothing you can’t find on the internet.
You want to know how to perform brain surgery, there’s a YouTube video for that.
You want to build a rocket to send yourself into space, yup, there will be an article about that.
So, when it comes to writing content for your websites, it’s difficult to not say the same things as everyone else.
However, why not use this information to your advantage by “packaging” it together in a different way, and with your thoughts and feelings on this.
Okay, I’ve recently written an article that was based on an “Observational Case Study”.
All this means is that I “conducted” a study around a certain topic and collated information that is already on the Internet.
So, I chose a “focus keyword” (I prefer, “topic of conversation” which was:
What Time of the Day Do You Workout?
Essentially, what I wanted to do was to collate information from various online communities.
Then, I wanted to view a few scientific studies which discussed “The Best Time of the Day to Workout”, and then I put all this information together in the form of an article.
What I ended up doing was going through:
Quora
The Bodybuilding Forums
T-Nation Forums
Starting Strength Forums
As an example, I simply went to the Google search bar and typed in:
What Time of Day Do You Workout + Quora
I then did exactly the same thing for the other 4 online communities.
I went through a total of 62 forum threads, conversations, and discussions.
I noted down the particular time of day that respondents said they worked out.
In total this gave me 1,198 different people’s perspectives.
Here is the title of my blog post:
What Time of Day Do You Workout? What I Learned From 1,198 Gym-Goers (Case Study).
Once the information was collated I produced a bar graph and a pie chart (using Canva).
I also took screenshots of 11 specific responses by these forum members.
I used these screenshots as “images” within the blog post.
(PLEASE NOTE: I always credited the source in my “images” - and you can “link” to the original conversation via the image)
I then discussed the information provided by these respondents, what I thought about what they had said, my own personal experience around what they had said, and whether I agreed or disagreed.
Finally, I found 3 different scientific studies via the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research and other scientific platforms (can you see how knowing your niche well can make a difference?) which discussed the “Best Time of the Day to Workout”.
Once more, I gave my own thoughts around this, as well as my own experiences of training at this specific time, and once again went back to the 1,198 gym-goers I had “surveyed” to see what some of them had said about training at this specific time.
I wrote and published the article 10 days ago - nothing from Google yet, ranked 2nd on Bing, however, I’ve picked up some traffic from Facebook and Reddit (628 visitors in the last 10 days, an original spike of 417 visitors 2 days after the article was published).
The aim is that it gets shared, obtains backlinks naturally, and then Google decides, “Hey, this is a popular article on the internet, let’s rank it”.
If you want to read the article in full then you can check it out here.
This will give you an opportunity to break down the article and see exactly how I have gone about things.
(And NO, this is not “self-promotion”, trust me, 50-100 or so Wacky Affiliates visiting a blog post is not going to make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things).
How Can YOU Create an Observational Case Study?
Okay, I’m actually going to focus on those of you in the Make Money Online Niche, specifically focused on promoting Wealthy Affiliate.
However, for those in other niches, you can use the exact same methodology as the post on my Exercise website.
You can use Quora and Reddit, and also then simply find relevant forums in YOUR niche by using Google Search.
Dog Training + Forums
Self Help + Forums
iPhone + Forums
Parenthood + Forums
You get the idea.
Okay, so back to those of you promoting Wealthy Affiliate and in the Make Money Online niche.
(Something you’ll notice from my original article on the Exercise website is that I kept all respondents anonymous, as I hadn’t specifically asked 1,198 people individually whether I could use their comments/replies, etc. But all the information was gleaned from PUBLIC FORUMS that are freely accessible to ANYONE - so you can do the same thing here, or even speak to people at WA and ask whether you can “quote them”).
Now, let’s look at probably the most popular topic in recent months, namely ChatGPT and AI.
Firstly, I’m going to type two words into the Google Search Bar and allow Google Autosuggest to do its thing in order to see what people online are searching for.
So, as you can see, there are a lot of people worried about the impact ChatGPT may have.
I’ve chosen the top “keyword” (search term), “Will ChatGPT Replace Writers?”
I then had a quick look through the People Also Ask section and settled on:
“Will ChatGPT Replace Bloggers?”
There is a Quora result as the Featured Snippet.
So, in my mind, if a “weak site” has the Featured Snippet, immediately write the article.
However, just to confirm that this a fairly decent keyword to target there’s also a Reddit result on page one of Google, and a DA6, DA17, and a DA22 website ranking on page one too.
Okay, next I’m now going to use information found on Wealthy Affiliate to collate information for my Case Study.
Let’s assume that I have spoken to all the WA members below and they are happy for me to use their material (but, even if you don’t, there is nothing wrong with taking screenshots, and then blanking out names to keep everything anonymous).
Here’s a title for my blog post:
Will ChatGPT Replace Bloggers? 8-Year Wealthy Affiliate Veteran Receives 328 Comments!
What I’ve done here is to take Roy’s recent blog post for the “case study”.
I can now go through some of the more insightful comments and discuss these, giving my opinion, do I agree or disagree, etc.
Here’s a fantastic comment from Kenny:
Plus, we can use Kenny’s comment as an “Expert Opinion”, as Kenny is a former Electronics Engineer, and he currently writes for companies in the tech and AI industry (tbh, I would even want to ask Kenny whether he’d be willing to be “interviewed” - come up with 10 interesting questions based on this blog post and the comments and ask if Kenny would be so kind as to answer with his opinion - we can backlink to Kenny's website too).
There are plenty more comments here, and fantastically, there are various opinions.
So, this allows you to screenshot comments and perhaps have a Pro. and Con. section to your blog post.
Finally, from all the information collated it’s important to give your own personal opinion, plus discuss whether you have been swayed by some of the things you have read (and then researched).
Let’s Look At Some Other WA Members
Okay, rather than going through the entire process, let’s look at some other members, blog posts, comments, and I’ll give you some ideas for blog post titles/headlines based on these.
Here’s Jeannine’s recent Blog Post;
Here’s the title for “my blog post”:
Is ChatGPT Dangerous? Awin’s Partner Acquisition & Development Manager Reveals All
Next, here’s a blog title for Fluffy’s ChatGPT Posts:
How Does ChatGPT Work? I Studied a Professional Writer’s 11 Blog Posts & 383 Comments
And of course, I can’t miss out the great man himself:
Earn Money With ChatGPT? What I Learned From 7 Videos By the Founder & Owner of Wealthy Affiliate
Putting it All Together
Okay, these are just a few examples of content on the platform around ChatGPT.
And hopefully you can see how it’s possible to take individual comments, sections of blog posts, interesting discussions, then screenshot these, and then discuss YOUR PERSONAL OPINION on what has been said.
Think of all the other conversations that have happened on the platform?
Here’s some examples of “Observational Case Studies” you could compile via the Wealthy Affiliate Platform (I am making up the facts and figures in the following blog posts titles, but I just wanted to show you what’s possible):
How Many WordPress Plugins Do You Have? What I Learned From 186 Wealthy Affiliate Members
How Long Does it Take to Earn Your First Affiliate Commission? Here’s What 428 Wealthy Affiliate Members Have to Say
What’s Your Favourite Social Media Platform? 64% of 199 Wealthy Affiliate Members Said THIS
What’s Your Favourite Free WordPress Theme? I Was Shocked to Discover This About 91% of Wealthy Affiliate Members
Of course, you can make your observational case study BIGGER by also sourcing additional information from other online communities, such as Reddit, Quora, and Internet Marketing Forums.
What Plugin Can’t You Live Without? I Collated Information From 2,308 Bloggers (CASE STUDY)
Basically, the possibilities are endless.
And THIS is how you write ORIGINAL & UNIQUE content.
Final Thoughts
Lots to take in, I’m sure you’ll agree, but hopefully this sparks some creativity in your minds.
You can also use the Wealthy Affiliate platform to ask certain questions and then collate the answers.
Admittedly, you would probably receive more information from a “popular” WA member, as more people are likely to answer.
I can see it now… Hahahahaha!!
“Ere Kyle, can you ask the following 10 questions on the platform, and allow me to collate all the information for a case study”
“Oi Eric, can you stop stuffing your face with Mexican food for just one second and create a video asking these questions”.
But, as I say, the possibilities are endless.
Furthermore, this is the type of blog post that people enjoy reading, and it also has the potential to be “shared” more often, while other bloggers in your niche are more likely to “link” to your content.
Also, make the blog posts visual.
You can go back to my Exercise Case Study Article and see how I’ve used screenshots, made graphs, pie charts, written graphics, and videos to get my point across.
Above all, I’ve ensured that while I’ve shared lots of information from around the internet, I have also provided MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION.
I will say that these are usually going to be quite in-depth articles and therefore will take some time to collate the information, structure the article, and then actually write it.
For my exercise-related article, it took over 10 hours of collating and writing, which eventually produced a 5,000+ word article.
However, once you get into the swing of things, it gets easier (same as everything in life).
Finally, imagine the ranking, sharing, backlink, and traffic potential once you’ve created 10, 25, 50, 100+ blog posts like these.
Yes, the information is already out there, but what is ORIGINAL & UNIQUE is that you have studied lots of different forum threads and discussion, collated this information, and then put your own spin on it.
Finally, Finally (I Promise), can you see how using “Wealthy Affiliate Case Studies” allows you to link (with your affiliate link) to the platform.
“Check Out all 328 Comments on Roy’s Post For Yourself”
“You Can View Kyle’s Videos Here (although, you will need to be a member, but at least if you join up under me you’ll have me as your personal coach and mentor - can’t blame a guy for trying, HERE’S MY AFFILIATE LINK)”.
You get it. Now, what ideas are currently flowing through your mind? Go get to it!
Thank You For Reading
Partha

First of all, I am glad that you renewed for another year! WA community is very fortunate to have you as you continue to share your brilliant ideas with us!
This post, as all your posts anyway , is cleverly created! I never thought to do a post like you discussed here. To use the various resources on social media and present a case study, wow, that’s impressive!
This is a great read everyone! You’ll get a lot of ideas even just from this post!
Partha, thank you for continuing to be a valuable asset to the WA community! 🤗
Cheers,
Maria 🌹
Good morning Partha,
I hope you're doing well. Thank you for another exceptionally interesting and useful blog post. You certainly know how to write!
First of all, I'm very pleased that you have written your own unique content and not used AI! That's very refreshing indeed and quite a rarity in this day and age!😊
I recently asked a member if they were using AI to write their blog posts. As to me, it seemed blatantly obvious that they were and also that the tone of writing had suddenly changed. I received an answer; they deleted my comment! So they are using AI then!😂😂🤣😂
I hear what you say about content, my Webmaster says exactly the same! Most of the time, we are literally rephrasing content. I don't 100% agree with you that everything is on the Internet, sometimes and not that often; I'm really surprised that there is very little information about a particular subject on the Internet! This is partly due to the fact that one of my niches is garden/horticultural/forestry equipment, so sometimes, there is not that much information on a particular piece of equipment.
Regarding Wealthy Affiliate, I think it's really powerful that we can leverage the platform and create content from our own personal content on the platform or another member's content. It's a really great feature, especially as we don't have to use an affiliate link to link to our own content!
Thank you for mentioning my blog post, I feel privileged to have a mention from the most knowledgeable Wealthy Affiliate member, Partha!😊😊 My title certainly sparked a lot of interest in the subject. I will actually create a video and blog post on the subject, which will include my Wealthy Affiliate post.
One of the many things I like about Wealthy Affiliate is that there are some fantastic and like-minded people who we can connect with. I did receive some very interesting answers and comments on my blog post, particularly Kenny's, as you mentioned.
Wishing you a fantastic day and thank you for your great content.
Roy
There are so many brilliant people willing to share their experience and knowledge on this platform. You, dear Partha are like the human version of the old school Encyclopedias. Which by the way, I loved.
Those of us who take the time to read and learn here are truly blessed.
Thanks, Partha
More brilliant information as usual, though I will need to read the post a few times for all the information to sink in.
Delighted to hear that you are here for at least another year. I am looking forward to reading many more of the excellent informational posts that you keep sharing with us.
Thanks again.
Thank you for sharing your insights with us, Partha. I always look forward to reading your posts, and rarely is there a time I don't use your methods for my investigative research to create original & quality content. Your style and diligence can never be mimicked entirely, but your ideas and expressions will always leave us with a lasting impression.
Thank you for being an influential part of the "Wacky Affiliates."
Regards, Matt
Partha! Partha! Partha! You are far too bright to be only one person 💡
That's just one of the many, many, many things we love about you. 🤍 Duck everyone, Partha's head is about to swell! 😂
Thank you for yet another invaluable share! I will definitely be following your advice, this makes "doing the work" so much more interesting in addition to increasing our chances of creating a successful online business.
Maninge ngiyabonga bwana! (a combination of Zimbabwean Shona and pidgin language)
Ngiyabonga kakhulu, mphathi! (included to make translation easier ... should you need it of course 😊)

You have a naturally super-human skill for originality, for thinking outside the box and for continually sharing great ideas.
Thank you!!!

Hi Partha,
What an awesome post.
I typically write original and have been getting bogged down writing about blogging as it's difficult to write about things you aren't passionate about and need to study a lot for the articles. I know, how funny the blogger who isn't passionate about blogging, hah hah.
Your article made a light bulb go off for me on how to get through some of the rest of this blog cluster so I can get on to the real intent that is to be the draw of my site. Thank you.
Interesting on the 5000 words. I've been reading more complaints over the last few years that younger folks dislike longer anything and prefer small bites. I can be long winded (or is that fingered?) most of the time, so I've been mulling over trying to write shorter posts.
Glad to see another post from you. One of the first things I look for when I log in is the question area as you still pop up there frequently.
Regards,
Jason
