Is it possible to use Microsoft Word blog posts to post directly onto my website? I find adding various images, shapes, text boxes, and 3d models much easier using Word.
Yes, it is possible to use Microsoft Word to create blog posts and publish them directly onto your website. However, the process may vary depending on the platform your website is built on.
Regarding the error message you received, it could be due to a number of reasons, such as incorrect login credentials or compatibility issues. Have you tried contacting the support team for assistance? They may be able to provide specific instructions on how to connect your Word account with your website.
Using Site Content works for me. I only use it for text though. I publish, move over to the back office of my website and change to draft and then add my photos. Once it’s how I like, I re publish.
I find this easier and like others have said, you need to be careful of Word coding.
The coding in MS word is not compatible with servers you have to turn MS word content to HTML content before it will display correctly on your website
I would suggest logging into your wordpress and plain pasting so you do not carry any code with it. i.e. Ctrl + Shift + V
vs posting direct.
Thats not really a solution, as I want to be able to create smart art images and various other shapes and text boxes which are easy with Microsoft Word.
If i just copy and paste it won't copy any of these images it will only copy the text.

Can someone explain what are duplicate open meta-graph tags? and How do I correct this problem.
Thanks in advance
@Mwalimu-MK
I can see that you left a reply, but when I click into it, the only reply that I can see is the one from TheAbie
Where are you seeing this, mind me asking? Social media platforms?
Inspect the HTML source code of your web pages and look for Open Graph meta tags. These tags typically start with <meta property="og: followed by specific attributes.
Look for instances where the same Open Graph tags are repeated multiple times within the same webpage.
Decide which set of Open Graph tags you want to keep and remove the duplicates. Keep the ones that provide the most accurate and relevant information about the webpage.
After removing or consolidating the duplicate Open Graph tags, validate your changes using the Open Graph Object Debugger provided by Facebook. This tool helps you verify that social media platforms are picking up the correct tags and that there are no remaining duplicates.
This may help

Thanks Abie.
I am still confused and not really sure how to solve my problem. I think i will leave it until tomorrow and reread the above article and hopefully it makes more sense with a clear head in the morning.
Abie gave you lots of good info there.
It might be that you have two plugins installed, both of which are adding og: tags.

I am just wondering what would cause google rankings to drop overnight by between 1 and 10 places for nearly all my keywords.
I was ranking for 11 words in the top 3, to

I know one thing, I will be so glad when I am in on the conversation of how my keywords are ranking. lol!!! I know that I am still new and just starting to get the hang of all this, it just reminds me, though, that it is all relative. I am going to persevere and hang in there. Hope to see your rankings shoot back up. Very quickly.
Hazel
Thanks, Hazel. I hope so too.
I am only active here for about 15 months, and I had to take almost 4 months off from March last year. Keep working on your site and creating content, and you will succeed. Some weeks I have posted only 1 article, and others 2 posts, but I am trying to post 3 per week. I have gone from 30 organic google searches to 350 in about 4 months.
If I can give one piece of advice, it is to follow ParthaB and Diane Scorpio and read their blog posts as they give so much brilliant advice in helping to create content.
Thanks again
Mairead
Mairead!
I have noticed both of their blogs are full of advice and information. I will definitely keep on following them and reading what they are saying. I thank you for your encouragement. Today is one of those days where I really need it.
Thank you so very much.
Hazel
Thanks, Hazel,
I think everybody has days like that. I have a lot of them.
But we just have to continue to work hard, and I believe that this will get us where we want to get to.
Mairead
This is why I love this platform!
So many helpful members and I hope one day to know how to get these answers that they seem to know lol!

Hey Mairead,
Google released their first BROAD CORE update of 2023 yesterday.
Obviously, there was also a Product Review update in February 2023.
I'm not sure if you sure any fluctuations in February?
However, for CORE updates you can expect fluctuations over the next couple of weeks, but always allow a good 4-6 weeks after a Core update for things to settle down so you know exactly how you have been affected (if at all).
Some people will have had the complete opposite yesterday, as in their rankings and traffic potentially went through the roof.
BUT
As I say, you never know the actual effects of a core update until at least a month after it's been rolled out.
So, you'll probably see some weird things happen with ranking and traffic for at least the next few weeks (and some people won't notice any difference at all).
Partha
Thanks, Partha
At least, that explains it, as I wondered if I did something wrong.
My organic traffic has been steadily building since just before Christmas. I reached 350 organic google searches in 28 days on Tuesday, but my traffic seemed to drop off yesterday.
Hopefully it will be okay after a week or two again.
Thanks again
Yeah, as I always tell eveyone, this business definitely doesn't work on linear progression...
So, you won't always see traffic rising steadily from adding regular content.
There will be times that traffic spikes, there will be times when traffic decreases, there will times when you've added 100 additional articles and your traffic still stays the same.
Just like any business it can be extremely frustrating.
However, good choice of keywords and consistent publishing will ALWAYS see good things happen eventually.
But, the thing with CORE updates is to never panic immediately.
Google never actually releases what they are specifically focusing on during CORE updates, so there's usually a lot of "testing going on the background".
And this is why you'll often see weird fluctuations, even differing from one day to the next.
As I say, don't worry about it, just check traffic in about a month or so and you'll if the update has had any impact on you.
What you can do in the meantime is look at which articles have lost rankings.
Search that keyword in Google.
Check the top 3 websites ranking for those keywords.
What information have they provided that is NOT in your article?
A very easy way to do this is to note down ALL the subheadings (H2, H3, H4, etc. tags) for the top 3 articles.
And from that list of subheadings you can see if there is any way to improve the articles that have potentially lost rankings.
Partha
Hey Partha, you right about the 4-6 weeks, first few times it happened I almost quit my business. But now, I hardly pay any attention to them. Thanks for that reassurance.
David
Thanks Partha
It is a lot of user-generated content that seems to have moved up in rankings, mainly from Reddit, quora, and lets run.
I assume my site should overtake these again in the rankings in time I hope
