Why not simply replace the existing image with an image of just a block of color. You can create this with any graphics program online or on your computer or even canva.com

Well the site is about wildflowers and I choose that theme for the large image on the homepage, I really wanted to highlight an image of a bright field of wildflowers. I only wanted the sold Block of color behind the title. THank you for reminding me about canva though, perhaps I can make some magic there.

Try pixabay.com for free and free-to-use images. I'm sure they'll have something you can use for your homepage image. Then pop into canva.com to integrate the image with the title and tagline.

I'm going to follow this suggestion of yours Marion. Thank you I'll let you know how it goes.

Like Trish, you need to find out if you have an option in the appearance > customize section, and if not on that same image she shared, the last item is the editor.

However, you do not want to edit your theme directly if you do not know what you are doing. Also, when the theme updates, you will lose the changes. You will have to do them again.

If you cannot see the editor for any reason, you may need to change the theme.

To change your theme, here is what to do.

You may go to Appearance > Themes and add new.

Input what you are looking for, install and activate.

Your content will be left intact; you may lose out on CSS styles and social media icons if, however, with a bit of tweaking, you are done.

We always recommend leaving a backup theme; you may do with the Twenty TwentyThree.

I hope this helps

You can use the Ad Inserter plugin, as you do not want to edit your theme files directly, as you will lose your chances when the theme updates or if you change your theme. Kindly let us know if that has helped.

Hey Ashley,

Depending on your chosen theme, you should be able to find the options to change your header background color under Appearance > Customize from inside your WordPress Dashboard.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Tiblu,

Thank you for your response. I cannot find a HTML option under customize under this theme. Someone from the Live chat said that I had a to make a page for my homepage (then as a page you can customize HTML):

If you haven't created a specific PAGE and configured it in
SETTINGS => READING as your “Homepage”, then the homepage is a
special page generated by WordPress automagically to display your LATEST
POSTS. So you won't find this listed in PAGES, since it's not a PAGE
you created.

I"m just struggling a bit attempting this.

Hey Ashley,

You shouldn't have to use HTML. That was the point of my showing you how to find the option to changes the color of your header background.

If you want explicit instructions, Google search the name of your theme... something like this:
"change header background color wp theme [name-of-your-theme-goes-here]"
WITHOUT the quotation marks, of course.

This way, you'll discover how simple it is to change the color.

Attached is the homepage image I wanted to create solid color behind. I do understand the coding I need to use I just cannot find how to find the HTML conversion to do this.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the theme.
Hopefully, you will get an answer soon from someone in the community.

See the response above.

Seen.
Thank you, Abie.

Nothing has changed from four years ago.

There's no need to click the Demo button. This is for you to see how written content will look on a theme.

Choosing a theme is still the fourth step in building your website in Site Builder. See attached screenshot.

I would not upload a demo; it tends to add content you may not need and sometimes can give a 500 internal server error.

We add our content as we go along.

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty the server's cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

You can either access via the site content area - websites tab top menu.

I click the highlighted mountain button.

Hello Everybody,

I received the standard email from Google Analytics. I'm assuming everyone else received it too. It says: You're currently using a Universal Analytics

yes switch over or next year you won't have any data from the end date onwards...
do you need ot use it ...well there is a plugin called independent analytics that will give you who visits and where do they go...
but not all of the data...

all you need to do is to click on the add ga4 ...
or you can do it indepedently by creating a new ga4 property and linking this with your existing analytics property...then google doesn't think you are trying t ogame hte system and knows it is for the same property...

is it any better...in my opinion for the basic data i want...nope...
for marketers who have large volumes of data that need analyzing hten yes - what you can do and analyse is good....but there is still a need for a basic package that you don't have to keep adjusting hte graphs because it thinks you don't have enough data...

I use GA4 now.

I have not yet but I plan on doing so in January after the holidays.

-Mike

Hi - if you don't set up the new GA account yourself, then Google will do it for you early next year.

At that point, both systems will run along side each other, to give you time to get used to it.

Then in July, the old version will stop working.

Has anyone else changed over to google analytics 4 and can give me a hand?

Hello everyone,

What is there a trick to centering Banners? Is there come extra code to add in HTML mode?

I use block editor in wordpress.

Hey Ashley,

If you are using the HTML scripts in WordPress, like those offered on the Banners page of WA: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/banners and not using the actual banner image from your Media Library, then you can use the following:
class="aligncenter"
placed RIGHT after the img so that your link would look similar to the one shown in the screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

you can use the < center > rest of the code < /center >
around al lthe code
have fun
phil
but in the block editor when you view preview can you not see a position menu for the image- if you can then click center

thanks for the easiest reply ever

Hey Ashley,

So, I take it that you could find nothing listed using my suggestion offered here: as you did not respond... and you have asked the same question again, when you didn't have to.

If you cannot find the answer in the WA training, you can find it by Google searching. See screen print below...

Hope this works better for you.
