Hello Everyone,
My theme is WooComerce Storefront as my main website is a bookstore, so my homepage shows "Newest in" Products and then there are categories for shoppin
can you add blockd to your home page - if so then there is a query loop block where you can actually have posts linked to...
there are plugins for better post queries and the main query loop is not that brilliant...
or you could design columns with links to your categories with images....
with the block editor - as long as you can edit your home page - you can do whatever you want to....
How can I create latest posts section on my homepage?

Hi Everyone, Hoping for a helping hand!
I'm posting an article on my niche website and would like to add a WA banner between the post's content.
I've done this
You cAan see the example below of how it was done :)
Also check out this resource
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/beginners-guide-on-how-to-add-a-link-in-wordpress/#linkhtml
Hey Ashley,
I'm wondering if you've done the same thing as I have before...
Do you use the AdBlocker addon in your browser?
If you do, then you'll need to preview your page in another browser to see the banner.
I've done this soooo many times now that it ain't funny... and yet... LOL, I still end up doing it.
So... if you use the Firefox browser and that has the AdBlocker addon installed, use the Opera browser to check out your page to make sure the alignment, etc., is the way you want it to look.
Hope you find this helpful.
I sorted it! I wasn't selecting that "+" sybol to find the "custom HTLM" selection. Thank you
Once your website is live, you will have an image file, so you grab an image from you computer and import it over.
why not just add a custom html block and copy/paste the html for the banner....
you can then preview the html to see what it is going to look like...
That is exactly what Ive been doinng, I paste it "edit HTML", but when I view it.....nothing, no banner

I hope this message finds you all well here in the WA community.
I'm reaching out to share a bit of a humorous situation, though truth be told, I'm in a bit of a panic.
Look at the top area. Look for 'trash'. (see attached image)
Click on that and restore your home page.
Tim
Hi friend, I tried restoring all my trash under my pages, and for whatever reason it did not restore my homepage.
Site support wrote me the following message a little while ago when i pleaded they help :)
SITE SUPPORT (23 minutes ago):
Hi Ashley,
There is no reverse button in the dashboard if you want to restore your backup then update us so we can proceed with it for you.
-----------
I said yes please, and now I'm waiting to see if they are able to help now.
Fingers crossed. I'll update this feed if problem gets fixed. Thank you.
Yes, restoring the last saved backup would be good.
After it is restored, take a look at what you had done the past week or so, that was not restored. This could be blog posts, images you uploaded, etc.
Unfortunately, the only choice then is to redo those blog posts or any updates.
Still, it is better than losing your home page.
Tim
You can ask site support if they can restore your website to a previous point.
You may also check the trash and restore it if you find it.
I wrote them first, if there was ever time I needed site support it is now. They asked me to ask the community

Your homepage, according to your website, is the blog roll.
https://ashtreebooks.com/
What Homepage are you after? Are you after a static page?
Its called storefront is shows all my newest books for sale and shows that categories for the books. I also have a menu that has a link to my news article blog roll, another blog roll, quotes of the week and a page I was trying to add showing I now do Rune Readings and this add to my menu was when I messed it all up.
I"m completely feel sick at the moment.
Site support backed up my stuff but it backed it up from mid February. SOOOO many hours and posts and data is gone now.

Seeking Guidance on Embedding Voice Clip Interviews in Blog - Need Your Expertise!
Hello WA members!
Exciting news—I'm about to conduct my first-ever
Yesterdays blog post Cut The Edit, Keep The Magic: From Raw Footage To Publish Ready With A Click! You could also go with SoundCloud or Podbean, upload, then embed and share.
Hey Ash,
For audio quality, you could use Zoom which allows you to suppress background noises, or you could purchase a subscription to Krisp software (my preference now!).
Here's my own post that provides readers with full details on Krisp and more: https://useyourpassion.com/does-krisp-really-make-me-sound-clear-in-online-meetings/
For recording any training, I use FastStone Capture software: My Fav Video Recording Screen Capturing Software Once you have the audio file completed, you could easily embed it using the new WordPress Block Editor: https://wordpress.com/support/audio/ but... if you're still using the Classic Editor simply Google search for a "wp plugin to embed audio file" (without the quotation marks, of course) and select one that you'd like to use.
If you need to edit the audio file for whatever reason, you could use Audacity: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/ it's free to use... and to learn how to use it, simply search YouTube for tutorials.
Personally, all I use for recording my videos is the microphone in my webcam, and so all I can suggest to you is to test a recording to discover if the recording sounds okay. If not, then purchase another microphone.
Hope you find this helpful.
Triblu you are always so great at providing me with solutions when I ask the community a question. Thank you for sharing what has worked for you.
I"ll let you know how it goes.

Hi Everyone
I'm very interested in the program called Discord after checking it out because it was the engagement platform for a podcast I follow. It is free and also
MidJourney (AI image generator), so is Poe (AI tool); use Discord :)
I don't use it, but from what I've heard, Discord can be an engagement platform for your website. Some benefits are community building, customer support, feedback and discussion, exclusive content, Q&A sessions, networking and collaboration, integrations, podcasts, and group discussions.
No, Discord does not act as a server for your website.
If you have a group of followers that enjoy talking about a specific topic, a Discord group is great! I have one for my Forex group.
Discord is often used by YouTubers and other social media people for “communities of interest” to share thoughts, ideas, pictures, videos, files, etc.
If this is the type of engagement that you can generate, I highly recommend it.
I have never heard of Discord being used to interact with a website. Discord is for people sharing with people.
Good luck!
I tried this years ago unsuccessfully. I had the chat channel on my website, but I had issues with it, most likely due to a lack of knowledge, I do not wish to discourage you by any means.
There is a Discord plug-in, or at least there used to be one, as I said it was a few years ago when I last attempted.
Discord also provides great instructions on setup as well.
Best wishes with this, I hope this was helpful even a little.
Stacie
