Tips to getting comments for your site

Hey there everyone!

"Yay, a new comment for me!" That's my reaction whenever I see that little red note on SiteRubix.

Now, I'm thinking of how to get more comments, and here are my tips:

1. Places to post requests for comments

I found only these few places, will add more when I find more!

2. Always reciprocate

When I leave my links, I always ask people to leave links back in my profile page, instead of within the links above as I found that often these links got lost and I don’t want to leave people hanging without paying them back. I have gone as far as giving back comments first before I approve someone's comments, so I don't forget.

3. Put your website link in the actual comments

Add the link to the actual page you want comments on, rather than your general site.

4. Give qualilty comments

I think others are more likely to return the favor if I am able to leave relatively long and detailed comments.
