Hey guys. After the recent Google update my site went from almost 4k organic visits to 0. The same happened with the ranked keywords, from 3000 to 0. The website is a standard
Partha has some great ideas for you.
Like the presentation of your site and noticed you have a lot of content.
One thing that makes product reviews very helpful is benefits of features. Why are those features important.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but have you updated your Google Analytics Tags? I know they made a change that starts this month. Whatever it is I hope you fix the issue.
I can't find it now either.
Looks like it's been removed, perhaps censorship, someone's not liking what I'm saying.
Aplogies.
But quick tip, check your Google Analytics is still installed correctly if your traffic has ACTUALLY dropped to EXACTLY ZERO.
If traffic has simply dropped off the scale, you MAY (it's never definite) have been hit by one of the Product Review Core updates (April 2021, December 2021, and May 2022).
If you have, you simply need to keep producing content, but have more of a focus of informtional content.
Google is watching websites that are completely product-review focused very closely.
There's certainly no need to purchase or own every product you review, but it does help if you have some experience of the product.
The sites that are mainly getting hit, are pure product review sites with no sincerity behind the reviews, i.e. someone has 100s of product reviews, no other content, and everything is simply rewriting product specs from the vendor's site.
I'm guessing this is NOT the case with you, due to your trade background and experience.
But, check your analytics is still installed correctly.
I would also suggest visiting a few forums in your niche, just type something like
Butchers + Forum
OR
Butcher's Knives + Forum
into Google
You want to find out the REAL issues that REAL people are discussing in your niche.
Rather than
The 10 Best Butcher's Knives
(Sorry, I now nothing about meat apart from eating it, LOL)
But in reality, on forums you may find questions like:
Should I make a baseball cut sirloin thin or thick?
(Sorry, I did say I know nothing about meat, LOL).
Basically, just start getting some more informational content on your site.
Even a website that has been hit by a core update can bounce back, but there's no guarantees of timescales.
I've had sites that simply fell off the radar after one Core update, 6 months later after the next update, traffic and sales went through the roof.
I know no-one wants to hear "it may take 6 months, 12 months, etc." and this definitely isn't always the case.
However, the best thing to do is to not let it affect you, keep producing content, and focus more on informational content trying to help people with their niche-related problems.

Have you recently did some change on your website, changed them, I would check if the code is in place.
With updates this may happen, however it resumes.

There is a plug-in in WordPress that can do redirect. Just search it within your wp platform.
Thanks for that, but I meant that the old site is for example site.com/general-dentistry and the new site's url is site.com/general so when someone click in Google on the old page site.com/general-dentistry it will show 404 because there is no such a page. So the question is how I can fix that

Hi All;) I have a question regarding post ranking. I noticed that some of my posts ranks well and some not at all. Can anyone explain why? I check the ranks using semrush.com</
Exactly, it's only matter of time - if you are making something with passion - to achieve your goals;)
Thanks,
Marcin
Hi there,
Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason why some posts rank and some don't.
There are many areas that Big G takes into consideration when ranking a post and it seems it changes often.
Kyle says often in his training's that as long as you are writing good, helpful content - that's what matters the most!
Since some of your posts are ranking and you are starting to get traffic to your website, Big G sees that you have 'trust' and you will probably find that your other post start to rank as well.
Well done for getting to where you are... it's a great testament to you.
Cheers,
Jacqueline
Thanks Jacqueline. My site is still relatively new so I will be patient.
I just wanted to ask just in case I'm doing something wrong.
I will keep adding the posts and surely, sooner or later I'll get there ;)
Thanks again and all the best!
Marcin
