About Nurselizstar

Hi, my name is Liz*, and yes the * is intentional and legal. Sweet story, but I was the twinkle in my Daddy's eye, therefore the star! Awww...I know, right!
Seriously though, I am a retired registered nurse with 40+ years under my belt. I was forced to leave a profession I loved due to physical issues making it impossible to do my job. Not that I worked the floor very often as the Director of Nursing, but when I did, oh boy! Anyway, to make a long story short, after retirement, my husband, 2 grandchildren, a very spoiled "teddy bear" and I loaded up the U-haul and left the hills of South Dakota and landed in Florida, Space Coast (landed as in rocket, get it?... LOL sorry). I am not content to sit on my laurels and exist off my monthly disability check. My retirement has helped us maintain for over 3 years but reality is setting in, and reality stinks. I know I'm not a spring chicken, but I want to have the ability to make some honest to God money for my family, just like a 21-year old newbie does. I'm hungry and anxious at the same time. Treading on foriegn territory and nursing vs. marketing is as far away from equal as can be. That's my story...point me in the right direction and let's get busy!! Yay Us!! 🌟

Liz, it seems you are doing great. I am in your generation, and although I did not have to retire at 66 I did to try some new things. Those cost me very dearly a lot of $$ this was my first choice , and I decided otherwise. I wanted fast $$. I got that but in reverse and lost many $$$$$$$!!
Now on a path no matter how long to correct this issue.
Take care,

Oh my dear friend! My heart goes out to you and all the heartache you have been through. I am slowly coming around, but I have this ugly thing called life that rears it's head and strikes fear in me! Almost sounds good enough to be a Disney movie, eh? LOL I havez met some amazing people at WA and I'm afraid I have grown addicted to the community and can't live without it! OK, that was a little over the top! Let's just say, I need to show $$ before I hit on the 1year anniversary and lose it entirely. I will support you all the way Mr. Bill (reminded me of SNL from years back 😮). I pray success comes your way and you never have to look back in defeat again!! ❣😐
Yay Us Indeed!! 🌟

I have seen defeat in business before, but this time it cost me a lot. You will not lose anything if you put your mind to it. I have no encouragement at home, and I find it here every day, so moving forward however long it takes.

I understand no support at home! We can be that for each other Bill as well as thousands more! 😀Isn't that amazing? 😊

Hey there Liz,
Welcome and thank you for the follow back! You can do anything after being a nurse for 40+ years. That isn't easy and shows a lot of get up and go. If you have any questions, I will be glad to help you if I can - and if I can't I will send you in the right direction to who can.
Hope to keep in touch.
May blessings, and Happy Easter. He is Risen!

Great to hear your story, we do have some common ground here as I retired from mental-health community nursing in 2015 and have been wanting to create an on-line business for many years. Happy to follow you too and looking forward to advise and support you on your journey if I am able. Wishing you every success. Remember if I cannot provide you with a solution if you get stuck, there always others more experienced her who can. No question is too small. Warm welcome and best regards.

My daughter just retired after 40 years of emergency room nursing. I am too young to retire, because I love I love my profession as a commercial real estate appraiser and promoting natural health on the internet. WA has helped me keep my brain working it is a great place to learn true internet marketing.

Visit my profile for some good affiliate programs. And I must say think seriously about promoting WA because it is the best affiliate program and one can truly feel like they are helping their fellow man by promoting this honest site.

Good luck with you internet adventure. I bet you are missing your Northern winters!!!

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I have at least 6 nurses on my list of followers. Why do you suppose nurses are joining WA? It's new & exciting, challenging, educational, and by God, the best support system to make sure we don't fail! We both know you don't get rich as a nurse. As a matter of opinion, I always believed if you went into nursing to get rich, you have chosen the wrong profession!! Nurses need to help others and a kind word here and there, shoulders for support, or just let everyone know I DO care about you! That and nurses are visual beings and we need to see data, growth, and the websites that by far are the coolest sites we've ever seen...because they are ours! Isn't that amazing?? 😊
Much success in 2019 Petra!

Hi LIz*, love the star :) Nurses are stars so you have another reason to have that * in your name :D.
I am a Reg Nurse and yes... learning marketing is as far removed from nursing as can be, but... here we are learning a new skill.
We can do this :D I am staring retirement in the face and need something to pad out the pension... I have horses and they want to be fed. Australia is either flooded or bone dry and where I live, bone dry is the common theme at the moment. (Fingers crossed TC Oma might bring us some rain.)
Here is to a prosperous retirement.

Hi Liz, you look so familiar. I lived in Palm Bay for about 35 years. I worked on the MedSurg floor at Wuesthoff Hospital in Melbourne and also as a nurse at Circles of Care. Great bio by the way, I wish you all the best in your journey here at Wealthy Affiliate.

I have 2 grandchildren I am raising and both of them utilize COC, especially my grandson who had been Baker acted a multitude of times unfortunately. Small world wouldn't you say? 😊 I have enjoyed reading some of your responses on other folk's blog and then I read your wonderful profile. I appreciate your follow as I'm certain I will learn something from your talent. May 2019 be your most successful year as we travel along this WA journey! 💕

Hi Liz, I worked at Twin Rivers at COC which is the detox facility for alcoholics and drug addicts. I am happy that you are enjoying reading my replies to the blog posts of others. As far as learning from my talent, I'm not sure I have that but I try to help others to the best of my ability. It's the beginning of 2019 so both of us will have a fantastic year.

Hi Liz*

I'm a nurse, working as a Case Mgr at an insurance company. You'd think once you got off the floor it would be less stressful...not! Always more work to do than is humanly possible, everything always needs to be done yesterday, and there are always so many changes you can hardly keep up. You should be familiar with that having been a DON, that's a tough job. I'm sure you have the tenacity to succeed. Best wishes to you, from a fellow RN.
nurselizstar Premium
Hello Joan. Thank you kindly for the follow! There are many nurses I have met here at WA, all very busy, and all still engulfed in the career I once labored and loved. My 15 years as DON did prepare me for the rigors of WA in that you need to stay on top of documentation and record keeping if you plan on succeeding. I'll be honest and say, I have had trouble doing that as I'm stuck between 2 parallel universes...one.that wants to succeed in the online money making business, and one that wants to kick off her shoes and run barefoot in the sand and surf of retirement! LOL I wish you all the best at WA and your future endeavors! I have a soft spot for nursing folk and will do whatever I can to help along the way. God Bless and Merry Christmas! 💕

Hullo Liz*!

I'm pretty sure I wrote to you on another page, but at that time, I didn't realize the * was actually a part of your name. I apologize for not including it.

I am also retired due to disabilities an', although my good hubby-buddy an' I have been blessed in many ways, you're right... reality is certainly NOT a kind companion, when it comes to matching funds to facts.

I am also a newbie. I joined in the last couple of days in June, but being on WA has been summa' the best medicine for ignoring what ails me. Haha

You can do it, Liz*! Hang in there an' keep moving forward an' you CAN do it~
I'm in your Cheering Squad an', although I can't jump up an' down to cheer ~ ~ ~ you should SEE how ACTIVE my MIND is!

Hi Liz*, great to have you here and I am sure you will enjoy the journey with us on the Wealthy Affiliate platform. I will PM you with some information you may not know about as I used to work in and out of the States before the GFC crash and my brother's kids live in Minnesota so the move from South Dakota must have been a major decision. I am here to help you any way I can and while I do not everything I am probably a little further on that journey that you are at present. If there is anything I can do to help you in any way please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to assist you. I am never too busy to help someone new

I want to welcome you to WA’s premium membership. This was a huge decision you made which should help you succeed as a successful online business owner by taking your business to the next level.

I can remember when I went to premium membership back in September, 2009. This was a decision I have never regretted. As a premium member you have access to additional WA resources which are very helpful to your success. I like the weekly live Webinars at 5 PM Pacific by Jay Neill. These weekly webinars have been very helpful to me and my online business.

I want to wish you all the best as you become a very successful online marketer. Please share your success with the WA community.

Best wishes,

Welcome to WA and congrats on going premium!

I'm pretty new here, I just joined last month actually. So far I have a website up and running, I also have began to post content. I’ve gotten positive feedback on both my writing style and my website.

This community has already helped me tremendously and I must say I've already learned a lot of valuable information here at WA. I believe you will too, that is if you haven’t already.

The future is yours! Wishing you much success.
