This has been a few days now, hopefully, it will be fixed soon :(

This happens sometimes. It is usually when a new feature is being tested. Just be patient and eventually, this will resolve.

Ok, good to know, thank you, :)

Today I read this and got me thinking. Here it says that we should write a disclosure on every page where an affiliate link is included and/or placed and that it should appear

To be FTC compliant, the disclosure should be on each page which contains an affiliate link. It must appear prior to the affiliate link (it an be at the top of the page before all the text, as long as the first link is the affiliate link).

It cannot be in the sidebar. It cannot be at the end of the post.

A link in the footer is not compliant. A link to another page is not compliant.

I've hosted entire webinars on this topic for Awin.com; I'm responsible for monitoring the laws for the entire network. I have to know this stuff. In fact I spent two hours discussing the topic with a lawyer who specializes in affiliate marketing, the FTC, GDPR, ITP, etc., last week at our Think Tank event.

Viglink has it right.

As others have said, the link in the footer is side-wide. Or you can place a link to the affiliate disclosure in a side-wide sidebar widget, or as a drop down menu item under the About menu tab..

The point is to make sure it is readily visible to visitors.

Thank you, Jude :)

Most people tick this box by adding an affiliate disclaimer in the footer, that way it's on every page, but it does depend on the affiliate program and what their specific requirements are.

The strictest one I've come ever across is Bluehost who will not pay you unless you write words to the effect of "This is an affiliate link, I get paid if you click this and buy" on every post there's a link.

For 99% of times though, an affiliate disclaimer in the footer somewhere will suffice. There's one in the templates of SiteContent you can use :)

Thank you, Simon! :)

That is not FTC Compliant. It must precede the first affiliate link on each page. Expect this to become a more strict requirement as the FTC continues to monitor this issue. It's because there are so many bad actors who try to skirt this issue, so the FTC has no choice but to enforce their own guidelines.

That's what I am doing as long as it is displayed somewhere in the website like the footer then it should be OK only if you are using a funnel you would need to place it there like a single page site

Thank you! :)

I don't think it is necessary as you have placed it on your website and it will show up especially if you put it in the footer

Thank you :)

In many Affiliate Programs I've read that they offer Banners, "Creatives", but I don't know exactly what they mean within the context of affiliate marketing, could someone expl

Make a GIF and attach your link. Make your own banner and put your link on it. Be creative.

Creatives is the blanket term for all the advertising media that a network or program will make available to its affiliates.

This includes banners but also text links, videos, pre-made forms, website widgets, and in some rare cases, editable photoshop files.

Excellent definition, thank you. I assume it also includes products' images, right?

Absolutely. I suppose, in theory, it could even include MP3 files.

Just beware of directly using product images without checking the affiliate network's policies on that.

Amazon forbids the direct use of product images, for example.

Thank you, your response was very useful!

You're welcome - we all try to be helpful here. :)

Can you share your experience?

I did a review of the company and put some data in place regarding their affiliate program. But have not worked with them directly.

So, have you been affiliated to their program?

Hi Neil15, No I have not, I researched their program and wrote about it briefly.

I've read in some Affiliate Program's applications "Restricted keywords", what do they mean by that? Do they mean that we can't use those keywords in our posts?

I think they might be referring to keywords you can't use in paid advertising, such as Google Ads.

"restricted keywords" what does that mean?
