Quora Update
Hello Guys 'n Dolls,
I just stopped by to wish you all a wonderful week doing whatever you find enjoyment from and pleasure to others you care about!
So, a wee bitty update.
The last time I wrote about Quora and my stats at day 3 of a 7 day week and my views were 3,039. Well, out of curiosity, I checked last week's views - I daresay that I have been writing a lot more frequently in order to start driving some traffic to my site - and guess what? My views for last week were...
a whopping 6.5K views!!
I am so psyched.
Now you know that I am going to continue in like mode. Not only do I enjoy answering the questions and sharing my opinion as well, but the thought of helping someone is a wonderful by-product to my plan.
I will be honest with the community, my initial Quora plan is to build traffic to my site (primarily) and secondly to practice my writing, and so far so good. Not realizing the benefit behind all this (as it is now 'coming' to me), there are people who ask questions because they need help in the way of answers, and sometimes without a 'knowing face' - they can be 'anonymous' and still find a solution.
How is Quora working out for other members in the community?

I signed up for Quora some time ago but have never really gotten interested in it. Initially, some of the questions and answers I had seen were not very impressive. I read more about it this morning after your post and I added several categories associated with my niche. I'm hoping to get some questions I can answer and see what happens. I have a friend in the same line of work I was in who really likes Quora and apparently answers a lot of questions there. I have no idea what her stats are though.
What are the topics you follow and typically answer on Quora? I know your niche is different than mine.

I've been using Quora for the last few weeks. My goal was like yours, to answer questions, bring views to my site, and also to get some content ideas.
My results have been quite positive so far. I currently have 3.4k views, 11 followers and quite a lot of up votes. Additionally, I've been seeing trickles of people visiting my site from Quora, which I'm really happy about.
I plan to continue answering questions and to help people, and I look forward to more positive results :).

Great news, Steph. I love it!! Yes, I am seeing some trickle effect and so I keep going - Rome wasn't built in a day. What is your handle, maybe we can be each other's follower to a cause?

Hi Michelle. How long have you been there and do you have traffic from it?
Hey there, J. I started in early August. I only started 'upping my content game' within the last month. I have noticed a little traffic to my site and I just looked at my Google Analytics and 79% of my traffic is coming from Quora traffic (as of this writing).
What I do, is this - each time I answer a related niche question, I interject a content link from my site. Like everything, it will take time. The way I figure it is this, in time, more people will view my answers and then click through to my site and 'show me some love' and hopefully - 'some money' too...LOL

I think I shall be in this very soon. I am generally weak in social media, and what you write looks very promising. Have seen somebody else also writing very positive about it.
There is a training here, I read it recently, the author suggests having the link in your signature, have a look, you will find it easily. Did not try it so cannot say much, but he explained it nicely. Many thanks.
