Have You Ever Wondered.24 hours In A Day?
Hello Guys 'n Dolls!
Happy Sunday or simply happy day/night wherever you are and find yourself...the time of day is of no importance...it is being alive that is!
This is a short post to make you think a little...or a lot!
Have you ever just stepped back and realized that you REALLY can't DO everything that you have on your plate/to-do list?
Have you ever felt like 24 hrs just simply is NOT enough?
Have you ever wanted to get upset with yourself when you realize that you are still on item number one of a list that doesn't quit?
Well, I KNOW that we are not alone...maybe some of us have 'been there, done that'. Well, I have been there a couple of times. NOW, I am great organizer and love my lists and phone alarms, however, this weekend was so family-oriented that I got very little work done and I started feeling inadequate.
I had to stop myself and remind myself to live in the moment - enjoy the family (down) time and then get back in the saddle when the time allows.
I won't be able to do it all, no matter how organized I am and I accept that. I just need to remind myself and those like me, to remember to live in the moment and enjoy it.
I live in the moment and I do the best I can with the resources - time, equipment, information, money - that I have and that is ALL that I should expect of myself.
It is not to say that I should 'settle' - not in the least!
Just don't hold myself ransom!
Just shake myself off and get back on the horse again ...slow gallop, but gallop nonetheless!
The difference comes in taking action - no matter how little!

Well we ALL have the same 24 hours a day! The bum on the street, and the Billionaire...All we can DO every day is try our best to do as much as we can!

Family time is important, so is down time for other reasons. Your to do list will be waiting for you, so when you get back on the horse, take a breath and start galloping. Don't feel inadequate or guilty for taking time off.
As you say the difference comes with taking action.
I feel like that sometimes but life happens while you're making plans. I can't not play with my two-year old granddaughter when she runs all happy into my room. And if I shut the door, she just knocks until I open it. So I fit her into my life. I fit everything important into my life.
SO true. And yes, children have a way of teaching us how to reconnect with 'life' and the little joys it brings.
