WA Thought for the Day 2, Some of our Resources Here

Today I came across a new member's blog that really inspired me. I had missed his blogs up until now because a) I don't read all the blogs in here and b) If the title of your blog doesn't tell me what it's about then I tend to skip over it when it lands in my inbox, no offense, but my inbox is overflowing and that's a little lesson on choosing your titles right there ;)

However this person commented on my profile and I checked him out and thought, OMG, I wish I had started WA like this guy! In fact, even now at this point in my journey he inspires me, but he actually only joined WA in June this year, a few weeks ago.

He is already on certification 3 and making full use of all the resources here are WA, making great progress with his website, is totally focused, he gets the value of the training, he says:

"Nevertheless, it is not just about online training courses and certifications, but the amazing knowledge exchange between WA members"

I too have meant to blog about that aspect of WA many times, the extra things I learn AFTER a day's work on my site writing up content, just chatting in here I learn and pick up so much stuff when I'm NOT working, just chilling and having fun with everyone.

To quote JoseLuisR:

"Just browsing through the posts today, I have learned how to categorize and save blog entries, how to create a free ebook, what are the most used tools for subscriptions, and so on." Yes, that's so true, that is the WA that I know and love and sometimes need to be reminded of!

Recently there have been so many other types of posts on our platform that you may wonder how he found all those good things. I heard a story recently of two people at a beach, one saw the rubbish strewn all over it, the other saw the beauty of the sand, the water, the sky - sometimes we have to ask 'which view do we choose to see'? And of course sometimes the stench from the rubbish is so bad we do actually have to do something about it and clean things up. However, today enjoy the beautiful view that this newbie to WA is showing us in all of his blogs. You too may have missed them so I include a link to them here.

Now, you may ask 'who the hell is she to be writing a WA Thought for the Day or talking about another member', so I will add that this week my own flame nearly went out here amid some of the terrible posts appearing on the platform and being allowed to appear on the platform [and I mean really crazy stuff, people tend to think I'm hitting at fun posts and social stuff but I'm not actually doing that] and the sort of rank games going on, but a lot of good people encouraged me to stay. And I was reminded of just how many wonderful people there are in here, whether they are here 3 years or 3 weeks, it is great to be reminded of that.

And also I took the decision to publish more of the sort of material I wanted to see, and I encourage you to do the same. We are drivers and can create our future, we don't have to just let things happen all around us. I normally would not be so arrogant to use the title 'WA Thought for the Day' but there are reasons for that at the moment.

Update: I also notice El-jefe-Kyle has posted tonight that he has made Vegas, well 4 referrals left on his airplane and 6 months left to do that - lol- 4 referrals in 6 months may be a lot to some people, but he's just sold 296 in 6 months! The other interesting thing is he only has written 3 blog posts on WA, and two of them only received 3 likes!! So yes, publish the material you want to see, but learn from the successful ones - publish more on your sites ;)

I've been pretty absent these past few weeks mostly due to things I needed to do for my business. I'm impressed by those who have the time to blog here on a regular basis but even reading their often daily blogs takes time, time I don't currently have. I will check out the blogs in the link you provided. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure anyone has the time to blog here on a daily basis, I'd like these 'WA Thought for the Day' to come from the top...

congrats on your focus and example and best wishes for your business

HI Mary,
I"m a practicing Buddhist, and I very much understand looking at the glass half full instead of half empty philosophy. I struggle with getting caught up in what's wrong with something all the time. Especially in my teaching profession - it's so stressful.

It is very easy to get caught up in the bad or silly here on WA - I've missed all that because I just don't have time to look at silly stuff.

What you did in your post here is increase the good by providing a link to it. That's one way to refocus on the people who are providing value and tune out the people who are not.

It is definitely all about what we give our attention to.

I do encourage people to increase the good, the old saying 'evil prospers when good men do nothing' comes to mind however I expand a little on what you are saying to say sometimes we need to take action and at all times we need to be choosing our direction

my kitchen is a very good example right now, I can choose to see the clean cups but if I don't see the dirty ones piling up right now I'll soon have none lol

good post

Good stuff!

This is good. Thanks.

Great post

As the song says...be the change you want to see, which you seem to be doing. Good for you. Debbie

Thanks for sharing!

Your thoughts are spot on. I agree with you. I felt discouraged after reading some of the recent posts. Thank you for giving me perspective

Thanks, it's great to encourage others to keep their flame strong. And your support is appreciated because it's surprising how many people try to knock down what I say, it's not like they even offer any better way forward themselves!

This thought should be titled '24:7:365' Thought-
Highly inspiring!

ooh - very nice one!!

yes after my little lesson on titles I ended up with a pretty limp one myself :D
