I'm a fairly simple guy at this point in time. I'm retired and bored out of my skull. Most days I spend doing next to nothing worthwhile. Until old age crept up on me, I led a reasonably interesting life.
I spent 20 years in sales for the same company and earned a ton of money. I managed to bank over 8 million dollars during those years. The owner of the company died and they folded since most of the contracts were with the owner rather than the company.
When the company closed, I retired and moved into a house in NC. Over the course of almost 9 years, with the help of a lovely young lady, I proceeded to blow through all my money. When the money was gone, so was she.
This left me in a state of emotional turmoil. In talking with friends about what to do, the general consensus was to start over. I took that advice to heart and moved back to where I was born and sought work. I ended up working as a delivery driver, earning enough to get by for the past 14 years.
Medical issues forced me into permanent retirement. Social Security is not security at all. I would like to be involved in something to earn a decent income, without a great deal of physical labor.
My interests are Football (Carolina Panther fan), Reading ( John Sandford my favorite author), Church (Bible based Pentecostal), my family (married to Diane November 13, 2016 after an 8 year engagement), and our 2 cats(Boo and Fluffy).
