I've put together an e-book and would like to use it as an incentive for people to leave their e -mail address. I can't find any info on how to do this or where to put the thin
There are several ways to do this. You can use an email marketing system (autoresponder) that sends the ebook to the subscriber via email. Or once a person subscribes, either the link can be provided in an autoresponder response email or a link in the confirmation email.
Sounds complicated, but I have charted the process in an article:

You can either upload your ebook to your website using FTP. Some email marketing systems will load your ebook on their servers.
The attached screen shots show how I have set up an ebook offer to readers.
I have an ebook offer included within the content of an article. The upgraded content is shown in the yellow box.
When a reader clicks on the link, it takes them to an opt-in form.
When the reader fills in and submits the form, they are taken to a another page where they can download the ebook from my website.
I could have set this up where upon submitting the form, the autoresponder could have sent them the ebook via email.
Hey Ronald,
You might find Carson's tutorial helpful: EBOOK IS A MUST! Kris also created a tutorial on this subject: Offer Free Downloadable Files for Subscriber Incentives that might be helpful too.
Hope this helps you.
Yes I've done it and I can help you.
I'm just busy on a task right now.
I'll revert back to you very soon. Before going to bed.
Update: I see that you've already got nice answers.

I use both a desktop and a laptop. I set up a Google analytics account for my website. On my laptop it is there and works fine. On my desktop it isn't there and every time I tr
try putting in the same information and create the account, you might get a notice saying you already have an account , are you using the same email address? or you may ask site support for help.
Went ahead and did the setup again. Might be when I set it up on my laptop i used a different email. I don't know. I'll try to square it all away tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
