What's the worst that scam artists can do?

Hey guys,

I was wondering what's the worst that scammers can do when it comes to those of us who expose their scams.

I know they hate that there are people out there who expose their frauds. What do you think they're more likely to do: get away with everything they can and create another scam, or figure out a way to put us into trouble to avoid that their scams get exposed?

I would appreaciate your opinion on this subject.

Thank you!

If you fell into that trap of being scammed ..name and shame constantly on your social media. Write a post and send it to your local newspapers it will raise awareness

Richard

Best to avoid retaliation or repercussion. My golden rule. Never give money to people you don't know. Whether it's online or offline.

Good way of thinking

Agreed

One way is to do a comparison between another similar program showing the different features.

Costs or price comparisons are problematic because a reviewer may not know the target market. Product value is in the eye of the beholder. So what may be overpriced to one person may be cheap to another.

There is no doubt - they get away with everything they can and create another scam. That's what they do for a living. They don't waste time, they are creative to keep up with technology changes and there's not much that can be done about the fraud.

Exactly, I've seen scams that are "clones" and the only thing that changes in them is the name. These fraudsters sometimes are lazy to create another scam video lol

Just lay down the facts, don't judge, and say which program you prefer

Just remember that they may not be nice people who will give up lightly - you try to take away their business - they will try to take yours away.
Be careful what you call them and how you word it - you don't want to lose your online business to them.
Using the words ' in my opinion they don't give any value for money' rather than calling them an outright scam would be better.
These people have been around for a while and know what to do to people who attack their business, their livelyhood.
Also think of the fact that the business model may not - in your opinion- give value for money, but in others eyes it maybe the best thing snce sliced bread
Just be very careful what you call an outight scam, they will fight back and they don't play fair.

That is a great point, I have also written a few blogs about scammers and hadn't even thought about that. It's not worth losing everything I have worked for to them.

The laws need to be much stiffer for scammers in order for them to think twice before they commit the crime. Otherwise , they'll just continue literally laughing all the way to the bank.

Scam artists usually prey on vulnerable people. Those people can be grouped into the elderly, the mentally unstable or it is simply taking advantage of someones distress. This could be financial hardship, a lost family member or any other life changing event. Scam artists move quickly and can adapt to any environment and strike. Once people are on their tails, they will switch their strategy and find new victims.

Yes, they prey on desperate and inexperienced people... =(

They will get out of this mess and start all over again. I've seen it happen before.

Same here, I've seen lots of rehashed scams with similar names.

When creating reviews I'd stay away from calling something a "scam". I always say "in my opinion" and things to the effect of "in my opinion there are much better ways to make money online" for example.

By doing this your protect yourself. A scam by definition is one that takes money without offering anything in return. Don't worry about getting in any kind of trouble. As long as you follow the rules, you're good to go :) You're allowed to express your opinion. It's when you write lies that you can get in trouble.

Exactly, I agree with you.
I don't like the word "scam" but there are a lot of softwares and programs out there that deliver nothing in exchange of money, so I can't call it in any other way that's not "scam" or its synonyms.
As long as we post the proofs that show the truth and why something is not legit, then there shouldn't be any kind of issue.

Hi Eric,
Thanks Eric, for excellent advise on what to do with these "thugs" Sue and I have had been victims of these fraudulent schemes. Some are borderline, but they take your money without very much given in return. "In my Opinion" is a great and safe way to protect you self from legal actions.

You can always use scam in the title, especially when you're prompting a question ("is [product name] a scam? see for yourself") and then go into the details in your review. Just be clear in the review that in your "opinion" there are better ways and easier ways and don't outright call something a scam unless in your research you see there isn't even an identity for the head of the company. In those cases they're hiding for a reason, lol.

Or state facts not in evidence.
