How to Turn Negative Comments on YouTube into Positive Engagement

When your YouTube channel starts to grow, you will start getting more and more comments.

However, you will likely find that not all of them will be positive. But if you do it the right way, you can, in many cases, turn negative comments into positive engagement that will help your channel grow.

In this short video, I will explain my approach to this.

When there's a comment that's a bit aggressive but still within acceptable limits, we sometimes feel the need to reply aggressively as well - at least I do at times.
(It's like the "eye for an eye" mentality.)
:)

However, that approach doesn't do any good.
So in these cases, I recommend using a tool like ChatGPT.

You can paste the comment there and ask for help crafting a polite response.
In my experience, this method always works, and the respectful feedback often neutralizes the aggressive commenter.

At least, that's been my experience so far.

So you are absolutely right - Let's keep the positive engagement, if applicable.

I think it is also a matter of experience. Sometimes I do reply a bit aggressively on purpose because I can see that is ok in that context and can even give some good reactions from others. This is especially if the comment is just extremely unintelligent. Other times, I agree that it is best to just be as polite as possible but still clearly explain why they are wrong. I have had many times when this has actually converted people. Other times there is just nothing to do as some people are just trolls and then it is best to just see it as extra engagement on the channel:-)

To be honest I just want to run away from people and I have found it really hard to grow my Facebook profile for gaining followers.

I am very sensitive to people and their eyes and their thoughts directed at me.

Anyway I think only certain strong people can maintain a visual presence.

Sometimes, folks between them (owners of the channel) cause the issue, and the other person responds to neutralize the situation. It adds more credibility to the channel so folks can trust in and buy whatever offer is ON. It is a trick, LOL; don't fall into the trap. I have seen that done multiple times.

I feel much the same way. I turn my insecurity into indignant anger. How dare these minions judge me?! I know it sounds like giving into the darkside, but it's so effective. Anyway, most people are self serving cowardly scum so don't worry about them. If that doesn't help, maybe this quote does:

I definitely understand Erica. But, in my experience it is something that can be practiced and should not stop you from moving forward with your business.

The realty is just that no matter how good you are, there will always be trolls online and people who cannot even be bothered to watch the video. These people will never get any success in their lives and therefore try to discourage others - do not let these losers stop you.

Also, if you do not feel comfortable about it, you do not have to show your face in the video. I have another short video where I talk about this here:
