I get a lot of spam email on one of the email addresses connected to one of my sites. I see where we can mark it as spam but I don't know of a way to stop it from happening or

Thanks Abie.

Np, Robert :)

My solution to prevent spam mainly on contact form has been installing Google Re Captcha :)

Here's how to stop unwanted emails:
Report the email as spam.
Block spam email addresses.
Use an email alias.
Change your email privacy settings.
Unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters or mailing lists.
Check if your email is on the dark web.
Use a secondary email address.
Use a third-party email filter.

Thanks, now I know how to block spam from my website but, it's my email where I need the help. I learned of a plug-in from Abie, above.

Okay great

Bob I don't think you can stop it effectively. Apart from anything else, you would asking for a third party to decide what you can and cannot see. How will they know it is spam

I don't know how "they" know but I'm willing to give the plugin a try that Abie mentioned.

Well you would be better taking the steps Apana mentioned it will give you an extra layer of protection

How/where do I block spam email addresses? Where/to who do I report the email as spam? How/where do I check to see if my email address is on the dark web? Is there something I'm overlooking regarding changing my email settings? That was the first thing I tried to do but I don't see anywhere that addresses this issue.

I don't get much spam on my computer, but the cell phone is a different story. I hope you get some good answers soon, Bob!

Thanks.

You bet, Bob!
