How to remove unwanted external links to my website?

Bellow are some examples of links which I don't want in my site. How could I remove them? Please advise. Thank you!</

I hope you get it sorted out, Meena! Some seemingly good answers here! More knowledge nuggets!

Jeff

Thank you, Jeff! I appreciate your presence and response.
I just disavowed 12 URLs. I never knew such things exist. Thank goodness to our dedicated team and their trainings. I am hopping that soon it is going to be effective. Meaning, I won't see any of those links ever again.

I learned that too! I hope top never see such a thing either, Meena! It sounds like you got a lot done!

Jeff

Yes, Jeff! Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

You're very welcome, Meena, and likewise!

Jeff

Hey Meena,

Here's a tutorial to help you: Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you very much, Trish! I really appreciate your response.

You could create and submit a " disavow" list to Google to ignore those links.

I looked in Abie's training and submitted a list to Google Search Console.

Thank you for passing by.

Your welcome, i hope you feel better now.

Thank you, Damien! Yes, I do. I appreciate you asking it.

Hi Meena, don't know if this will work for you but I usually click on the link and then click un-link. Then I decide if I want something like what is mentioned in your list, highlight it and delete it.

Best wishes,

Michael

Hi Michael,
No, it didn't work for me in Google Search Console. I just submitted 12 URLs to be disavowed. The training which I received in response to my question was seemed to be helpful. I need to wait a few days and see when it will get effective.

hoping things will work out.

Thanks a lot, Micheal. Same here.

Good day to you all,

Why my Analytics shows a page among my viewed pages which is not mine? It does not belong to my website at all and I never published those kinds of

Wow, very interesting discussion that is pointing out issues I was not aware of. Thank you for your question :)

You're welcome! Thanks for passing by.
Some issues are really astonishing.

Hi Meena
Have you reached out to site support?
:-)
Richard

Hi Richard,
No, I didn't. I think I should once. Thank you for asking it.

Hey Meena,

You can reach out to Google support and get their help with this issue. See screen print below...

https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9026876?hl=en

OR

https://support.google.com/analytics/troubleshooter/3045965?hl=en

Hope you find this helpful.

It is really weird that I viewed each pages and posts one by one and do not see it at all. What if it does not show me but the public?

Thank you for the suggestion and your reply. I appreciate that.

It’s possible there is some type of automated scan happening to your website where they are trying to access pages to exploit vulnerabilities. It might be referrer spam as well.

Yes, probably those kind of techniques spammers use......
Now the question is how would I know where to find it in my website. I recently made some changes and viewed all the posts and pages one by one. At that moment there was not such thing. This is really confusing and sounds stupide to me. Now the top priority to me is how to catch it? When I view my website now, I don't see anything like what was seen in the analytics which is very weird to me.

It probably doesn’t exist on your website. They’re just trying to go to non-existent pages.

Yeah, I think so. I don't know how the hell they manage to do those kinds of things. This is really ridiculous! 😂

Hello all,

What does number -2/ mean at the end of a website post link?

https://mybusinessisawesome.com/mynewblogpost-2/

It's a duplicate post name. I had to make a copy of one of mine and it came up as a 2. And even when I trashed the first one it still remained a 2.

I see, I haven't made any copy. I don't know why mine is like that.
Thanks for the reply, Geoffrey.

It means you have 2 posts with the same title - this is version 2.

Then where could I see the other one? I only see one in my website.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply.

Go to your website dashboard, click all post - and you'll see the list of all your posts

I know that. All the posts I have are listed only once under all posts. Still at the end of the post link I see that -2/ which is weird.

Have checked the trash folder or draft folder for posts? The first version is probably in one.

I checked everywhere and there is nothing. This is so weird.

This is weird - maybe another member has an idea

Hello everyone,

How to fix this? 104 Likes disappeared from my post due to a sudden error in post which was not viewing at all, at first? I did some small corrections and

Hey Meena,

Am guessing you mean a post you created here on the WA platform.

If so, members do not have access to the server and therefore cannot advise you as to why that happened.

However, if you reach out to SiteSupport: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support and provide them with FULL details, they may be able to help you.

For this issue, when answering Support Ticket Submission questions, you could answer them as follows:
1.) Yes
2.) Not Listed
3.) Other
4.) fill in the textboxes with the appropriate info
5.) Click on the Ask Question button

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you for the quick reply.

No, this is a Wordpress post created in my website.

What exactly was that "sudden error" you received?

Do you have back up of your website with those 104 likes and BEFORE making the change?

If so, you could always restore the site to BEFORE you did the changes, and then ask SiteSupport for assistance.

How is your website posts gaining "Likes", or do you mean social shares?

If social shares, which plugin are you using?

The sudden error was that the post was unable to open at all when I was opening it from the website.

Then I logged into the Wordpress and saw that the post images were all up side down. I tried to put everything back to their places as before. I finished fixing everything and suddenly saw that the likes were all disappeared.

I have been posting in different platforms that's how I gained those likes in this duration.

Yes, the likes from social sharing. I use Add to any share plug in.

The rest of the posts have the correct number of likes as far as I know.

If you cannot restore your website to what it was previous to your adjusting those images, I'm afraid those social media likes are gone for good.

To verify what I have stated here, simply Google search the name of your social media plugin along with "recover likes counts" (without the quotation marks, of course).
