Anyone uses VMag theme? Need help to fix the bugs or find another theme
VMag theme issues
I've chosen VMag theme as I liked their widgets options for static home page - carousel, slides, wide screen part, post tables etc.
But this is a nightmare trying to edit a post in VMag. Examples:
- Any numbered or bullets lists that look fine in the Editor don't show up on the website
- Images change their position from Editor to the website.
- The space between the lines looks very different in Editor and on the website
In general, the issue is that what you see in the Editor is not what you get on your website.
As it's a free theme, the theme creators are not responsive, no real support.
Looking for help1. If anyone uses VMag - do you have the same issues? Any ideas how to resolve them?
2. How to change default text color on the whole website (not only specific post)
3. Any better Magazine type FREE themes with similar static homepage widgets?

sorry nah, have you tried using custom css to change the look on the site? or contacted them first? have you got the paid version? that could be the problem..

Choosing an alternative is a very personal choice. You'll just have to research your options.

I tried their support forum - no reply for several months.
They updated the theme recently, but it didn't fix the issues
I will play around with it and get back to you, but it sounds like time for a new theme to me.
I sent them an email to support team. Let's see if anything comes back..
It's painful to search for a new theme, without enough experience. This is the reason I've asked for recommendations and mentioned the features I liked with this theme.
I'm not yet in the position to pay for one.

I've never used the VMag theme, so I'm not sure of whether there is a way to fix your issues without testing it out first.
But, if you're thinking of changing your theme, you might want to test out the ColorMag theme by ThemeGrill. It's a free theme over on Wordpress...I've just recently switched one of my sites to it and haven't had any issues so far with bulleted items.
As far as changing text color on the whole site, I'm not sure yet about it...haven't really had an issue with the default text it uses for myself, but so far it's been a pretty customizable theme.
Just thought I'd let you know about it, since so far I like it, and it's a magazine type of theme. Maybe it'll be what you're looking for, but I'd definitely suggest testing it out in a "test" site first.

LOL! Well, I hope it works out for you too. So far so good, but we'll see once Gutrenberg rolls out...haven't tried it yet, I think, lol. I'd have to check and see whether I did that yet or not with that one..thanks for the reminder! :)
