Applying Basic English Writing Lessons to your Content
Remember the college days and English classes where you had to learn how to write an essay? I do, since I went back to college I had to start learning these things all over and I began applying some of these critical thinking techniques and essay writing techniques and it has helped me a lot in my writing.
We have a lot of distractions around us and we need to find what best suits us in order to keep up with the work so we can provide people with awesome material to read. Some of you have kids, grandchildren, jobs, games, television, phones, there are so many things that can throw us off at any given time.
The one thing I found it to help me the most is to create an outline as if I were going to write an essay.
I begin with my main idea.
Introduction
I. First Topic
a. Sub topic
b. Sub topic
c. Sub topic
II. Second Topic
a. Sub topic
b. Sub topic
c. Sub topic
III. Third Idea/topic
a. Sub topic
b. Sub topic
c. Sub topic
IV. Conclusion
Trust me, I know it sounds crazy, but I tried it and it helped me specially when I had to stop to take care of my regular job a lot of times and I needed something to help me remember and stay focus. It is a neat way to stay organized and not go off topic and writing random content.
Everyone is different so you won't lose anything by trying something new. Use the outline and fill it with ideas and write them down so you don't forget them later. Don't you hate when a really good idea comes to mind and you later forget it? Writing things down will help you later on, trust me.
Keeping organized will help you a lot too specially if you are writing on multiple websites. I will use anything I can to help me write my best so my readers keep coming back.
I hope this helps and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Ahhh, yes. We did learn that and how quickly we forget as adults. Thanks for the reminder, Manny.
Knowledge and skills acquired in school and on the job are relevant in our business. Nothing we learn ever goes to waste.
Thanks Manny!
I love that system and still live by it, helps me organize my articles or posts better. Thanks for sharing Manny. :))
