Time only exists because otherwise everything would happen at once.
Albert Einstein.

365 days contains 8760 hours

2555 hours of sleep at 7 hours per night

1900 hours of work in a working day of 8 hours

That leaves 4305 hours

An average of 82 hours per week
(of which there are many spending those in front of the TV)

No time? Sleep an hour shorter, 6 hours is enough
Spent these extra 365 hours qualitatively and with care.

We have never had so much Leisure.

Spend 80% of your time focusing on the opportunities of tomorrow rather than the problems of yesterday ~ ~ Eleanor Rooseveldt

Love those big numbers. Thanks.

Used a calculator :) Ben

Simple and great post. Just like you always do Loes. thanks.

Hello Donna, my husband accused me also for my direct approach :)

Yep, yours is direct. He cannot be faulted. But who says that is wrong. Sometimes tact is graceful, but there are a number of us who appreciate the direct approach such as yours. I certainly do, though it's not my style. I love to see it in practice.

Time management is important, but energy management is the most important. I use a time-tracking app to see where my day went and how much time I invested into various tasks, but I also don't hesitate to grab a nap if I need one, or take a break to go to the gym. Rest and recovery is the most crucial aspect of productivity.

2 hours of laser-focus, high energy productivity is far better than an 8 hour day filled with the blahs, so rest if you need it, and spend most of your leisure time doing things that are renewing and beneficial. Reading is an especially great leisure activity, as it stimulate the mind and promotes creativity and inspiration. I find that the more content I ingest, the more I have to say, and the easier it is to write, which as well know...is the single-most-important part of being successful in IM.

But, still...I do wish each day had maybe an extra 2 hours in there. ;) And they each seem to pass so much quicker the older I get. :(

Hi Craig, you are really organized :)

Pffft...hardly. ;) But I'm always trying to improve. :)

Thanks for the thought-provoking post btw!

Time management is something I need to keep in mind these days, Loes. Thanks for this post. Blessings!
Hilda

Hi Hilda, we waste so many hours

Time management is so important. I know I get a lot more accomplished when I effectively manage my time.

Hi Cheyvonne, love your mustardseedtree :)

Thanks. It's growing everyday.

Great words of obvious wisdom. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Derrick, just a matter of counting the hours:)

Greag Loes, love the quotes! :))

Just love Einstein, Kim

Interesting quote from Einstein, not heard that one before. :)

While it is just one which is defenitely his, Kathy

very interesting makes more aware of time

It sure does, Mary

Love the Eleanor Roosevelt quote, Loes! Time is one of those things that we don't think about much until we run out of it. Since I only sleep 2-3 hours per night, I think about it a lot.

2-3 hours is rather a bit, Carla
