I got a mail today from the paypal support team.

Subject:

Your account has been limited untiI we hear from you

They ask you to click a link, DON'T!!

How do I know it's a scam?

I called my PayPal company in the Netherlands.

1. They never limited accounts

2. The never ask to click a link in e-mail messages

3. They will never send me a message in English, but only in Dutch

When you are not quite sure something is legal, just GOOGLE!

Subject lines, email adresses, signatures etc.

Never go to your Paypal, bank or other official company, using a link which was send to you by mail!

Always use the direct browser link, and look for the padlock!

I've also had one of those this week, they are sneaky aren't they? Have a great weekend Loes :)

Very sneaky Jude

I got it too, Loes. I just ignored it. I have had several over the past years, and now can recognise their efforts - just not PayPal

They are very sneaky, because it looks very genuine

Yep, but they have been up to this for over 2 years now.

Thanks Loes, I got one of those also, great reminder :)

It's a big scam when I see the google results Joseph

Thanks for the scam alert Loes.

My pleasure Shirley

Hi Loes and thanks for this - I get things like this but just delete

I do too, but I thought I use it this time to warn people:)

Good idea

I get this type of scam for these so-called PayPal as well.

I never open them up just mark as spam and trash.

There are other times when you get an email saying you have received some money and you need to click a link don't do that either.

Another scam attempt to hack into your account.

Paypal will never contact you like this.

If in doubt always best to directly link to your PayPal account and check from there.

I have reported this once before with the link but they always change their links.

Thanks for the info hope others will heed you request.

Take care be well

Andre

Smartest thing to do is indeed login directly Andre:)

Thank you and it is also the safest too,
Wishing you a good night from me its just after midnight so will be heading off soon.
Take care be well
Andre

Good reminder Loes I also always check the email address and if it's someone's private gmail account or an unofficial email address then that's always a good indicator its a scam.

I've also had emails supposedly from my bank saying the same thing, except I don't even bank there (which is another giveaway). Unfortunately they must catch some people otherwise they wouldn't keep appearing.

Yes I also get emails from banks of where I am not client

Hey you .. thanks for the info... I had one of these emails in the last day or 2 but i did not open it .. i just deleted it... can be tempting to open paypal email for sure.. so this is a good heads up... thanks

Chris

Andre says there are sneakier ones, which tell you, you've got money

Scammers keep hacking away so we always need to be on our guard.

Scammers are growing too, their scams are more and more indistinguishable from genuine.

Thanks for the heads-up, Loes.

My pleasure Marvin:)
