How to write an about me page for a blog?
Many about me pages are rattling all about themselves, when your readers actually are more interested in learning about how your site is going to benefit or interest them. You should mainly share about your life as it relates to your blog or business. Your About Page is an interview.
This is how I wrote my about me page for my website.
1. I introduced myself
Name; Country; What I do for a living;
Hi, my name is Loes Knetsch, and I live in a little village in the countryside in Netherlands. The Netherlands is one of the smallest countries in Europe. My day job is running a daycare, and I take care of 5 boys. In the evening I am an internet marketer.
2. Why should someone read my blog?
On this website, Your.Siterubix, I give business advice about how you can create an income via a website like I do.
With the unique step by step education of Wealthy Affiliate and the truly helpful community, you can achieve financial freedom.
If you love working on the computer, creating a website, and making money online, you’ll feel right at home here.
3. I let’em know what they can expect.
To give you an impression of the Wealthy Affiliate community, you can read my series of interviews (added link) with some remarkable and successful members. In the top menu you see my archive page (add link) with an overview of all my blogs.
4. I tell the trued
I let my readers know that I'm still learning, too, but I love to share things as I discover them.
Since I found this online education and this community I am learning every day something new.
I have created multiple websites and my interests are very diverse. I give among other things, business advice and website training. I write about global issues, art created by children and super food.
Every niche can be a profitable one!
What do you do with love? I can help you to turn your interest into a lucrative website. Click here (add link) to enter the FAQ page about the Wealthy Affiliate Education.
5. Why does my blog have credibility?
You'll be amazed what you can learn and earn within a couple of months working through our lessons.
I started without any internet marketing knowledge, and now I write my own tutorials and I get paid for those.I know from experience that you don't need a previous education to follow the Wealthy Affiliate marketing course. It does take you by the hand and will lead you through the material. Let me help you :)
6. What more to do
Keep your page timeless
Add at least 1 picture of yourself
Add CTA's - Call to actions
- Do this
- Add internal links
7. The Don't
- Elaborate about your illnesses or unfortunate life you've lived.
- Don't mention your age, as "I am 57", but mention, if you want to, your year of birth. (Timeless)
- Don’t share 50 random facts about yourself and nothing else.

Please share them below with the community!

These are really good points to cover for an About Me page! I also think telling a story too helps the reader connect with you
