Building your online business is serious stuff
When you are starting to build your own online home based business you can not afford to let offline life gets in your way.
I am totally aware of the excuses which can be made:
- My favorite series is on TV
- I have a sore throat
- My sister called me and asked to go shopping
- My children can not entertain themselves
- Any other excuse...
You need to schedule your job!
Record your favorite TV series to watch it later.
We have the convenience we can record any TV program, you need to take your responsibility to work when you need to work.
A sore throat doesn't effect your typing fingers
Everybody does have something physical they can use as an excuse not to work on their website. The disease remains, whether you are working or when you are lying down on the couch. When you can not concentrate on an article, go find some appropriate pictures. (of course, I am not talking about people who are suffering from a high fiver with influenza, or something)
Schedule one free day for fun stuff, the other days you are working
Be sure your surroundings know which day you are free. The day you can go shopping, go to the cinema, go to the beach
Your children ask your attention
At the moment, I have 4 daycare children, they are all busy doing something, drawing, watching television, playing with the Lego. You can instruct your children that they need to entertain their selves for a period of time. You can set an alarm for the time not to be disturbed. Teach them from early age they have to.
Any excuse...
You know which excuses you have and which ones you use frequently. Be honest to yourself. YOU are the one who's holding YOU back.

I bade good bye for long Facebook chats. Social media, if not managed properly, can get in the way of building an online business.
I am involved with all types of different floral species of honey so I don't get a sore throat.
I killed two birds with one stone by getting rid of the TV, now my daughter is gone. HAHA
It is so easy to make excuses but your are right, this is serious stuff. We would not make these excuses for your day jobs so we surely should not for our ultimate goal of working from home.
Working online requires a lot of hard and consistent work. In many cases it is way harder than working for someone else.
Thanks for sharing.

I think it just comes down to having common sense and knowing what your priorities are, right Loes?
Yes, my priorities are not the TV :)
