Professional VS Personal

I've been reading blogs here, commenting, sometimes writting for 3 months now. ..

What I've noticed is some people write personal, some write professional blogs. In content. I have friends here who write how their day was, or week, what the've been up to, how they feel, if they need help. And I have friends who write on how to create better content, what plugins are better, how to get more traffic on your site.

So who is using this "tool" correctly? I, for one, have been in the personal topic and help needed blogs. Does that make me weak against others who write about work getting done? Should I too, be writting of how to add pictures to your blog or how to correct a setting within wordpress? No, I shouldn't. Nor should you, who writes how to get better rankings in google stop and begin writting how your day was.

It's funny how you see the personality of each in here by the way they write. We are devided into two groups. The left-side brainers and the right-side brainers. Who do you think will do better? Who will get to their goals first? We ALL will. Because we are still here. We try as we can and we give what we can. Each and every blog we write contributes in some way. I need those that are more technical and know more around the internet to help and guide me. They make it easier. I also love reading personal blogs to keep me motivated, inspiired and real.

So I just want to say a big Thank You to all of you who answer my blogs, write your own and let me know how you're doing. Keep being yourselves and greater things will happen! Special Thanks to Kyle & Carson for bringing us together. You are the best!

Always Smiling,

Litsa

Nicely written

Thank you!

Great post Litsa!
Very observant of you.
Of course you are an artist & so I'm not surprised.
I'm afraid my neurons get in huge fights & sulk, the right ones decide not to share with the left & the left ones sometimes all visit the right at once ~ I simply don't try to tell them what to do any more ~ I just put it on paper or screen or whatever medium I can reach at the time... That's just me though, an artist as well :)

Your funny! No need to control those neurons, they have a mind of there own ;) Btw, I love observing personalities...

Many will never understand ~ though, for an artist there is no avoiding it no matter how hard we may try... We simply must 'observe & record' & find our creative ways within this framework...
Lovely to find you again, my friend, you are sounding very strong - Good for you!!!

Thanks allot, it's good to hear from you too! Hope you're doing well in all aspects of your life! Many smiles!

Good post Litsa you are right with your observations and WA is all the better for it because we can have the best of both worlds.

Totally agree. Exactly my point! Thanks!

I think you are right Litsa, but I do think their needs to be a balance too. My issue sometimes is - that I want to read people's posts and blogs - to give back. But I can't be spending my team reading long "novels" on people's feelings - then I won't have time to build my website and my business.

To work around this - I sometimes simply have to skip some blogs and move on. That being said - this is a great community of technical knowledge and also friendships and support.

Take care!!

Annika

Yes! And as Trialynn says, we are fortunate enough to be able to chose who and when we communicate with.

If we were all the same, life would be very boring! The great part about WA is you can choose who to follow and who to answer. There is no obligation to engage in something you do not have any desire to.

Very true! We have made little "teams" here as I can see..

I've always ignored the personal blogging on the WA platform, I came here to "learn how to earn", not read about what other people's cats or dogs are up to. After all, this is a business community, and there's hardly a lack of social sites specialising in casual content for those who feel the need to tell the world what they had for lunch. That said, WA has always been a broad church, and some feel that personal blogging here "humanises" the community, enjoy motivational missives or wannabe gurus pontificating, which is fair enough. Those of us that aren't fans, skip over them. However, it's also not unheard of for long-standing Members who are highly active on the WA platform to finally end up posting a blog here demanding to know why they haven't earned a dime. You hop over to their site and discover a dozen posts or less, but realise they've blogged practically non-stop here at WA, sometimes hundreds of posts, training, comments, chats, etc. It's worth remembering that being active on the WA platform, shouldn't be mistaken for being productive on your own site. Just my 2¢, as always. :) Rich.

Well Rich, you do have a point. But don't forget that when it comes to working a site you have to do with human beings. Some of your clients might be the kind that want to have a friendly conversation on things other than your blog.

That being said, each individual is responsible for their actions and if blogging about their life does get them somewhere...that's their perogative.

I'll talk when I'll have something to say. Until then I'll just listen to others. :)

You're taking the easy way out ;)

My blog posts are all personal for now, as I feel I'm not really qualified to teach people - I'm still only learning myself and have not reached the success that I am aiming for.

If I see a question in a discussion and I can answer, then I will, but I don't feel the need to create training guides just yet.

You know your streangths so go on that, when and if you feel ready you can do trainings.

Never Given it any thought Litsa, But I am sure your right or perhaps Left ? only time will tell,

Ray Bowley ( Merryman88 )

Of course I'm right! (I'm an artist :) ) And yes, time will tell!

same destination, different routes, indeed- good points- Andy

Exactly! We work with who we are and what we have.
