What is networking are we using it wisely
I have asked myself many a time what is networking and are we at WA taking full advantage of the great tool.
Definition:
Networking is defined as the act of making
contact and exchanging information with other people, groups and
institutions to develop mutually beneficial relationships, or to access
and share information between computers.
Creating a group of acquaintances and associates and keeping it active
through regular communication for mutual benefit.
Networking is based on the question
"How can I help?" and not with "What can I get?"
You’ll meet people, learn the local landscape, and save yourself
much work if you figure out that another group is amenable enough to
your interests that you can steer it that way.
Creating a network of like minded people here at WA are we or are we. I take this part of WA very seriously. By searching out people that are like minded and interact with them. I find that WA has a tool that permits us to do just that, called PM. making personal contact helps to get to know the people that you are interacting with. We can't go out to lunch or go have a coffee but you can PM them!
Commenting is great if you are going it to further your own work. If you can't comment on a post how are you going to interact with people on your web site? We have a great tool here at WA called networking use it to your advantage.
I would much rather have 1000 members in my network then have 8000 because out of a thousand members that are like minded I might get 75 to 100 great comments that are great material that helps you and your network. Everything that we do here at WA gets indexed by google that being posting or commenting.
Always a better way

I'm sorry I didn't get to this earlier. Had a few things slow my WA down. I totally agree with your assessments that create a strong network or in general anything you set your mind and heart for. My time here on this Earth is limited I know with my health issues and I HAVE TO SUCCEED. I don't want my daughter left with no other option than nursing home. That would be the end of her. You can count on me for full support. Billie
you are a doll you know that and you will succeed and I will help where ever I can

Good post! As Zig Ziglar always said-
"You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want."
Thanks Cindy for the support. There is two side to a knife. that is what networking does. enough people to throw there ideas around to come to a firm conclusion or understanding. working together makes it better.

Internet marketing is still new to me but I think networking is important. Having a group of like-minded people together, sparking ideas off one another, inspiring and encouraging one another is what I find most useful.
That is why I like the WA platform and the community so much :)
Thanks Moon for dropping by and sharing your views on Networking. A lot of people think that networking is to do with socializing.
The platform on WA has been created for helping, sharing, encouraging, inspiring, teaching, learning, growing, creating, bouncing ideas around and to some extent socializing as in social networks but also creating trust.
When we create trust people respond better and are more willing to share their views, opposed to imposing their views.

You have said it all Linda. Kyle is always advocating the pay-it-forward attitude here in WA so I guess once we are in, we get this feeling of sharing, inspiring and helping one another reinforced.
Trust can only be built up when we are more open to one another and be willing to share our thoughts and ideas, when we actually discuss things and not criticise.
Good afternoon Linda,
Well said, quality over quantity. It is nice to find like minded people and slowly but surely I am finding some.
Have a great weekend Linda, hasta pronto, Taetske
Taeiske great networking by the way you are moving along and advancing and learning very quickly. Networking does that, doesn't it? I am so pleased that we have been able to connect and it shows in your work.

Always well to study the prospects In your network first Linda. Now you can infuse quality into the mix!
I guess we could call it prospecting, Mike, thanks for your very valuable input It is always a pleaser connecting with you. We can't always see eye to eye but we can try.

I had to think a little bit more about what you said Mike.I don't know if prospects the right word for networking. No in the sense of WA anyhow.
Historical Reference
The original use of the term “prospector” refers to the efforts of individuals to find gold by visually scanning creek beds and rock formations. When flecks of gold were spotted, the prospectors would spend time sifting through dirt to find the valuable nuggets and flecks that were left behind when dirt was washed away.
That’s what modern day sales prospectors do – sift through large lists of potential customers to try and uncover those who are interested.
By doing so we uncover the what I call the diamond in the ruff. and we work together to create the perfect diamond. WA has these tool to do so.
By shifting through we find the valuable nuggets that make this network shine.

It requires more than sifting. It's necessary to extract those nuggets with every lead generating tool available and refine them for your business. Thanks for your reply!
That is what I am trying to relay to others and that is why we need to comment and work on the precepts that represent our work on the net and make it better. I be-leave that net working does just that, not only refines you but along the way helping other to refine also. look what we have done in a few words back and forth.
