Hi guys. Each time I create a new post I always click the "insert read more tag" inside the editor to create an excerpt of the post on the blog roll.

On my most recent p

If this is what your readers will see then I would be concerned. Please give me a link to your site and the name of the post with the problem so I can take a look.

Hi Marion, I've just PM'd you the link, thanks.

By the way, there is your post submitted for comments right now. I tried to see but cannot read it. Please check.

I think this is normal, I see it all the time. Do not know why it works like that.

Thanks Jovo. I thought I must have done something wrong as I've never noticed it before. Glad to know it's not just me then if you've seen it elsewhere. Just seemed a bit strange why it doesn't appear on my other posts.

In fact I checked in older ones and I see the same effect. But I would not be worried about it.

Thanks for looking

Hi guys, i'm just wondering if anyone has run into this problem before and if so, how you resolved it.

I'm receiving the following sitemap warning inside webmaster tools

I have the same problem! issue - Url blocked by robots.txt.
What did you do, and is it now working?

Very strange. Since this is such a technical problem, I'm wondering whether sending a support ticket to SiteSupport might be the best option.

Maybe Marcus, after doing a bit more digging inside WMT, I found that I have about 17 "blocked resources" which I found under "Google Index".

I think this is a fairly new feature but after some digging I've found out it's because there is a Disallow: /wp-includes/ rule as standard in the all in one plugin robot text feature, which tells Google not to crawl that part of the site.

Now, this is completely above my head but after abit of digging, i found that we should not be blocking this. I've removed it now and fetched Google.

I'll see what happens.

Since asking the question, I have since fetched Google to crawl my site again and all unfound

I just got the same message, and dont have either of the two pages either. Sorry, but what did you do to get rid of the 404 errors??

Hi Shelley, I'm still not sure what these pages are or why they appeared but I managed to get rid of the errors.

Check the box and mark them as fixed. You might find they reappear a couple of times in the future, if they do, just repeat the process until they

I did and I no longer receive them.

Hope that helps.

Looks like Chris has you covered.

Hi Chris, Thanks for your response, I have never created the pages or posts with this URL. I' assuming it has something to do with mobile.

As I say, Google webmaster tools shows me 2 errors after last crawling my site.

The 2 errors are the urls I've posted above and webmaster tools tells me they're "not found". And the response code is '404'.

I haven't seen these url errors before until a few days ago, and I haven't created these pages so I'm not sure why I'm seeing these errors now in webmaster tools, but I'm assuming it's something to do with mobile.

I hope that makes sense but I can't be any clearer as I'm unsure myself.

No, you've been quite clear. You didn't create the pages so the surprise is not that they 404 but that they are actually being looked for.

I sort of recognise the "/m" from way back when early days of messing with mobile sites. Apart from that I don't have a clue. My intuition is that GWT "expects" them to exist and has gone looking for them, hence the 404.

Time for me to step away and await someone more "in the loop".

Best wishes.

yes exactly, it's as if they should exist but don't. Thanks for your help anyway Chris.

The issue centres on mobile sites being (or having once been?) sub-domains ie "m.leeraybouldmarketing.com/" which have a physical location as a sub-directory "leeraybouldmarketing.com/m"

Sorry Chris but i don't understand? i thought if a sub-domain was to exist I would actually have to create one? or maybe it's automatic? do you think this is an issue i should take up with the domain registrar in this case namecheap or am I missing the point completely?? thanks for your time in looking into this

I think you've hit the nail on the head. You didn't create one, but GWT thinks (for whatever reason) that you should've.

It's not a registrar issue. Once you have a domain you can create as many sub-domains as you want, any time you want. I have several on my domains.

The issue really is why GWT thinks that "m." should exist, and why it went looking for it.

I can't work out what your question is. The two links give 404 errors because the pages don't exist. You say "it hasn't happened in the past ..." but you don't say what "it" is. What hasn't happened? The 404, or the page being missing? Do the pages actually exist?

Hi. I create a custom menu and then place that in a widget in my footer. Not sure if you've tried this or if your theme will let you. Here's some training on menus if you haven't seen it. Hope this helps. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wordpress-dashboard-tutorial-menu

Thanks for that Rick, I'll take a look but I think my Problem is adding it to the footer of that particular theme. thanks for your quick response
