Very soon I will be releasing my own planner system which will consist of a planner, an online course, and access to additional resources.

I’m on the same line as Becca. I have an e-commerce site that I have set up an affiliate program on. I control the whole thing bypassing the clickbank and JV Zoo. For you this may be one of the ways you can sell. If you would like more information just PM me.

Laura, Thanks for the response and the info. I will send you a PM too.

The lowest cost option would be to register at JVZoo where you can sell your product using their payment system and also create an affiliate program. Most products on JVZoo are in the MMO niche though.

You can also get affiliates to sell your product via clickbank although there are costs involved in setting it up there.

I personally use Thrivecart to run my own affiliate system. It's more expensive but it includes a shopping cart as well as an affiliate program. It's more expensive again but once you own it you have no further fees or commissions to pay to other providers of your affiliate program.

Thanks for the info. My main concerns include avoiding back office headaches and issues (and compliance with taxes and various other regulations in other countries too) and being able to have enough other people marketing and producing sales to scale it bigger and faster than ever would be possible for me to do alone.

That's my thoughts on it right now anyway, and thanks again for your help!

By setting up an affiliate program on you website. Two great softwares are www.refersion.com and www.getambassador.com

Thanks - and I will take a look at both of them too!

Thanks and I will look into that. I am also wondering if I can (or should) list it on more than one platform at the same time?

You can also use a Wordpress plugin WP affiliate Manager, Has a free version ,but allows then only 1 product. When you have decided what you will do ,keep in touch , I am interested in the product :-).

The thought of using a WP plugin has occurred to me - and I am interested enough to research it - but I also think that I would prefer to use a third party platform just to avoid potential headaches and related issues with tracking, compliance, and payouts, etc.

I prefer to spend my time creating content, courses, products, and resources instead of tracking and dealing with all the behind the scenes issues if I can help it - or at least that's my thoughts on it at the moment.

Thanks again for your response.

Best regards,

L.D. Sewell

Is there a simple check list - or something like that - that just lists the essentials you need for each site you build?

Hi my friend,
Great question or request! The answers are: No and/or Yes. No, you are on your own to develop the checklist by yourself. Therefore, you hit the ground running by starting to create your website, which is different from everyone else's. Then you take notes by documenting this every step of the way. Now, this becomes your own checklist. Moreover, it's different for different platforms. On the other hand, Yes, there is existing checklist, for others have done the same and they can share their notes and knowledge bases with you to build and grow on.

on a personal basis, I would like to share my methodology with you rather than a checklist as follows:
1) Learn WordPress by doing and documenting your knowledge.
2) Choose and research your niche(s).
3) Plan your website(s).
4) Create a logical step-by-step detailed plan for each site with notes and comments, such as:
A) Structure as the Presentation Layer.
a) Theme, Plugins and Widgets.
b) Title of blog or page.
c) Static or interactive blog or page.
d) Texts, Lines. Pictures, colors and Fonts.
e) Blog or Page subject matter.
f) Subject matter texts and pictures or images Must be your own (no plagiarism and/or copyright infringement).
g) Hyperlinks Affiliates and related must be set in advance before referencing them on your website.
B) Security and SEO Settings.
a) Get good Security plugins for your site.
b) Get your domain info locked down.
c) Secure your site from denial of service, spammers, phishing attacks etc.
d) Get and install good and free SEO plugins to your site for the main websites searching authorities out there (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Wikipedia, etc.).
There are 12 steps to follow in order to achieve the basic readiness for SEO. You can refer to some related training videos on the WA platform of more details.

Hope this helps you on your choice and search of checklist question.

Thanks my friend,

Charles

Thanks Charles - and yes that does help!

Thanks, Catherine. It looks interesting, I think I will have a read.

Thanks - that is helpful and has more of what I am looking for (and then some!) but still not exactly.

I am really hoping someone has created a very simple and to the point checklists - like;

- Purchase domain
- Select and install theme
- route DNS to site
- install ??? widget
- Install ???
- Build disclosure / disclaimer page
- ?????
- ????

That is for you to create and keep

It's a bit old but...

Thanks - and that is Helpful - but still not exactly what I am searching for - looking for an actual build/install - page by page widget by widget punch list that is clear and simple

Your question brought out some great responses. Thanks for asking.

The truth is that a whole site checklist would be rather long and you you would have to know a lot of additional information, so I don't think sharing one with beginners would provide much value, only create confusion.

But if we narrow it down for example to on page SEO, Jay has a simple 7 step formula:

Thanks for your reply - but not quite what I am looking for - I am not talking about SEO and all of that, just a simple basic site build fundamental checklist/punch list.

Just something to make sure all necessary essential pages and widgets are installed etc.

Does google even see subdomain pages/sites at all - and if so does it make sense to have them?

Thanks

Looks like Marion has you covered, LD! She's really good!

Look in the address bar in your browser for this page. my.wealthyaffiliate .com is a subdomain of wealthyaffiliate .com

Does that answer your question?

It helps. Thanks

Is there a particular day of the week and/or hour of the day that tends to work better?

I don't know a specific time either, what some feel is- posting at a certain time, work with their viewers when get get accustom to that time, like knowing every Monday you normally post at 3, so they visit your site on Mondays at 3:30 to see what is new was posted.
Other than that, don't really know about time specifics for posting.

I haven't heard or seen anything about when a good time of day or week is for posting content. What I have done in the past (and should get back to,) is writing my posts on the weekend and scheduling them to post at 6 am. This way it is fresh, but didn't improve odds of traffic visiting in my opinion.

Thanks for the response - and I like the idea of writing them in batches and scheduling them to post later. I just need to get better at that!

I used a calendar to remind me to write posts and schedule them

Helped me keep track and it gave me a reminder when it came time to do it

Write as often as you can ... be sure too write quality content ... your Worldwide so time I think is not the main concern ... posts of quality With great keywords ... and repeat.... repeat....
best to you
TIM

Thanks Tim, and I will work on that repeat...repeat thing!

LD

For your website--whenever inspiration hits you and as often as you like! I guess this can also apply to the blogs here in WA! After a time, you can post as often as you like or feel compelled to!

Jeff🐶🐶👍👍

Thanks Jeff. Not sure of my specific schedule on posting just yet, but based on your comments and others here and elsewhere - consistent frequency seems to be more important than any specific day of the week or time of the day. So with that in mind, I will try to post something almost daily, and certainly at the very least weekly.

Sounds like a good plan, LD! 👍👍

In my opinion. determine your regular publication of your blog or content. make it consistent and improve on your quality and relevance. People gravitate to contents and in with predictable regularity.

Thanks, and that does make sense.

Thank you for your appreciation and you are welcome!
