Asking For Help!
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
We need to know how to ask for help!
A story told about a father and his 4-year-old son. A little boy wanted to show his father how strong he is, so he waited one evening when he knew his father would be pulling up the driveway, to show is father how strong he is.
He places rocks in his toy cart, and as soon as he spotted his father pulling up the driveway, he started to pull his cart fill with rocks up the hill, showing his father how strong he is.
Everything was going fine, then suddenly the cart slipped of the edge of the walkway onto the driveway. So the 4-year-old boy began to pull hard at the cart trying get it up on the walkway, but was not successful.
Like any 4-year-old would do, the little boy began to cry. The father knowing what was his motive, see his son in tears, he step out his car and headed towards him.
This is what transpired between Father and Son
Father: What is the matter son?
Son: Dad, I wanted to show you how strong I am.
Father: Son, show me how strong you are, and pull the cart up.
Son: Dad, I am trying, I can't get it up.
Father: Son, use all of your strength.
Son: Dad, I can't get it up.
Father: Son did you use all of your strength?
Son: Yes dad, I use all of my strength.
Father: Son, are you sure you used all of your strength?
Son: Yes dad, I used all of my strength.
Father: No son, you did not use all of your strength. If you had used all of your strength, you would have asked me for help.
