My Mom was born on 8th May 1944.
She turns 74 today.

My Mom has always been one of the greatest inspirations in my life.
She has done so many, many incredible things and created so many beautiful things.
She is an Entrepreneur, an Artist, a Painter, a Writer, a Seamstress, a Dressmaker, a Quilter, an Embroiderer, a Landscape Gardener.
My Mom has travelled the world as one of the Top Sales Ladies in the country for Avroy Shlain, a Direct Marketing Company in South Africa.
I always felt that everything my Mom touched turned to Gold. She was hugely successful at everything she tried her hand at.
And now, at this stage of her life she is breaking through her fear of the PC and internet and stepping into the digital age to build her own online empire.
My Mom is my Mommy Hero.

My Dad was very old school and I remember him saying to us often when we were little, "Remember, I'm not your friend, I'm your Dad".
But my Mom was always our best friend, our ally, our partner in crime. My Mom was the one who would sneak us 50 cents so we could pop down to the Cafe across the veld for some sweeties.
Now, as an adult, and a Mom myself, I still enjoy having my Mom as my best friend.
I love including her in my fun times, playdates, family time, my Spa days, my business ventures.
