Lazy Days
Are you feeling lazy then you guilt yourself? Are you in the cycle of self-defeat?
Well, don’t’ feel alone because the lazy bug infects all of us at one time or another.
Consistency
Are you confusing consistency with perfection? You work so hard to put a post out to the world, and you are consistent, but it has to be perfect?
What you consider perfect is not the same standards as what the world believes. You are looking at your work with a considerable amount of self-criticism, and the world will not see
that. Now they may note grammatical errors, and this is one area to perfect, but the world does not see your content as imperfect or slighted. If they clicked on it and stayed long enough to read it, then you are rocking the content world.
The real issue is the consistency of production. Just write it, get the information down in logical order, and get it out to the world.
Lazy Days
When you try to make everything perfect, you will wear yourself out. The burnout will then lead to laziness and guilt, which produces a spinning cycle of death for your business.
You are going to slack off sometimes when you’re not supposed to.
There will be times we are going to put our head in your hands and say “not today” when we are supposed to write.
Sometimes you’re going to skip a week and be lazy when you shouldn’t.
You may even fall off track for more than a few days at a time.
Hey, it happens to all of us!
It’s Life
It is a part of life.
So, the next time you mess up and forsake consistency for laziness, or you fall back for a while.
Just let it GO! Shake it off!
Start over and begin again tomorrow. But don’t wait until everything is perfect.
Forgive yourself
Forgive yourself and start again tomorrow. And then start the next day again. Use every day as a new beginning to begin again and never quit starting over again.
Make progress that will last and produce income. Don’t focus on your mistakes, inconsistencies, laziness, and guilt. Don’t waste your time and energy on what is past but instead, start again and get it done.
Words of wisdom
And whenever you beat yourself up or get stuck in a rut, always remember these words:
You are in control of your destiny. You can’t blame anyone else. There are no excuses only a new tomorrow and a new beginning.
Let’s rock this together. We have the most incredible support in the world. Don’t waste it and squander it away.

Thanks for sharing. I had a couple days last week where I just had to step away.
I'll be gone all next week to the beach with the family so I've got bust butt this week so I have content to post while I'm gone. I've got 22 more articles ready to go, just have write the content and create the graphics/video.
Then my dad will be here for a week when I get back, he's 84. So I've got to do some serious time management while he's here.
I thought summer was supposed to be relaxing..lol.
Cheers,
Michael
It's good to write ahead and post when you are busy. It is good time management on your part. I did that when we went to Mexico and New Orleans. It was tough but well worth it.
Great work keep it up.
Laura
You are so welcome and yes it is along with many other things we find to do instead of write. But they all fall into procrastination.
Laura
Great post Laura. I have to admit sometimes I do get lazy, but honestly it is more about my guilt when I can’t do everything I want in a day.
It is a balancing act.
Coralie
The days I don't seem to get anywhere are usually down to procrastination rather than laziness.
Derek
I never seem to have lazy days, just days where I don't accomplish as much as would like. Then again there are days where I surpass my own expectations. It all balances out in the end.
Yes, I chose the wrong word. I am never idle or lazy either. I do think procrastination is a better choice indeed.
Thanks, Laura
Procrastination is a mouth full, I was looking for synonyms and found 'Tarry' which I quite like.
Great post-Laura. There's no feeling like looking back down the mountain after a successful climb!
Funny you should use this analogy. I have climbed the mountain this past year but I never think I am high enough. You helped me to see that I am way up in the clouds and looking down is a waste of my time. I just need to keep climbing.
Thank you
Laura
YES! Sometimes I do feel lazy and then often I feel guilty of falling under it. But we all have to try and push day by day. That is the only way to go.
Thank you for your motivating post. It does bring the spirit up :)

Dalibor, You are a blessing to me. Thank you always for stopping by to read and make a comment.
Guilt will rob us of our accomplishments.

I like the blue call out, Laura.
I use a little limerick to remind me not to dwell on past mistakes.
When running through a forest,
don't look back.
Or the last sound you'll hear,
will be a big, loud WHACK!
You can't see what's coming or where to go next if you're looking at where you've been.
It's not about blaming, is it? It's about taking responsibility and ownership. Learn and move on.
I love it! You put a smile on my face. Thank you so much.
Responsibility is so important yet so often the blame goes out because people can't face their own guilt.
Laura
I don't strive for perfection because I know I will never be totally perfect. Might as well do my best and let it go at that.

Very inspirational post, Laura.
Perfectionism is something I know all too well. I've been dealing with it most of my life. I'm getting better by reminding myself that if I try to make anything perfect, it actually defeats the purpose. Perfectionism leads to getting nothing done because nothing on this earth is perfect. So, it's a losing battle to begin with.
In my experience, it leads to telling yourself things like you're not good enough, or you'll never be successful and you end up quitting thinking, "What's the point." It's definitely not an insurmountable obstacle and it's hard to overcome. But, if you really want that success, it can be done.
And I'm on my way for sure!
I remember the post you wrote on your perfectionism. I had to overcome it. I just do something like create a page and proofread it and publish. If not I will go back over it so many times I get nothing else done.
It is a hard one to make myself do but I am overcoming it and I know you can too.
You got this one. Not to mention you have an excellent niche and I would hate to see someone else doing it. so keep going and never stop what you have created.
Laura
No doubt. It's only because of WA that I finally understand how to get through it. I now realize the persistence it takes. Everybody here is so helpful. The only way not to succeed is to not really want it. And I really want it.
Thanks for all your support. You can't imagine how much I appreciate it!
That is so kind. Thank you bunches.
