Its Ironic that I just happened to see this tonight as I just finished messaging another WA mentor and had referenced a quote similar to what your challenge is... In fact I was in the right direction when messaging him, however it was not the exact quote... (In the back of my mind this quote or quote of the same nature keeps me moving forward, not backward).

So here it is - (Coming to you from my chatgpt search lol...) I looked up a quote I had believed to be real but only got suggestions, then I looked up similar ones for the person I had in mind and here is what I found -

Why this quote is so Motivational for Me
This is a quote from one of my favorite books - A Woman of Substance by Barbara Taylor Bradford. The lead character Emma Harte overcomes adversity to succeed in the business world. When she sees people fall by the wayside due to corruption, fraud or a lack of acceptance that their actions cause their problems, she uses the phrase - we are each the author of our own lives.

It is too easy to blame others when things don't go right. Even easier to say this or that doesn't work when it really comes down to each person making their own decisions and living with the consequences. If you aren't where you want to be it. Change your actions and change your future.

It is a reminder that we can change anything we dislike about our lives. The choice is ours. We are each the author of our own lives.

My motto is "Make a path in life so others can follow." I heard this motto in college, and it resonated with me about my career choices. I have applied this to my career and also as a parent, friend, and mentor. We are all on a path in life, and with successes and failures, we all learn from it and teach others about our journey. Wealthy Affiliate is one of my paths; hopefully, it will lead to better views of life.

The quote that really keeps me moving forward, especially on these initial steps of building my affiliate marketing empire is "DO SOMETHING TODAY THAT YOUR FUTURE SELF WILL THANK YOU FOR." I will be the first person to admit that I am not a patient person. Not a great characteristic when starting a business like affiliate marketing. In my experience, this business requires a lot of work up front, building and optimizing your website, preparing content, troubleshooting and continuing to learn and build your toolkit before the first $1 comes in. I'm going to be honest, i started strong initially and then go through periods where I lose momentum. But then I remember that quote which prompts a visualization exercise I do where all the work has paid off and I am standing face to face with my future self at my beach house. The visualization ends with him shaking my hand, giving me a big hug and saying " Thank you for not giving up."
