also.... it appears the gear icon to edit my post above does not work for "Editing" it simply directs me to make a new question ... this is frustrating. I just want to know how to use the banners in the promote section like i used to be able to.

If you are talking about the banners the text of the banner code is cut off. I have reported a bug on the banners section already and Kyle put it on the fix list. I would expect improvements soon.

Hi Brian if i understand your question correctly you are concerned with your writing stats, right? If so, the platform is going through a beta update. Even my stats have not changed nor has my rank and I have been active too answering questions and all.
Now as far as indexing goes that is a google lord issue. Google will never stop screwing us little people over. Just keep writing then cross posting over to different social platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Make sure you remain within the rules of those social platforms. I have posts that has been indexed for years but because Google goes through these updates every three to six months the machine that was once favorable to our little websites can indeed drop us like a sack of bricks.
Not to be crude but its true and the opposite can also happen as well. Our websites can be shot to page one of Google out of nowhere depending on the quality of your content. To get around this issue you will have to find favorable social platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook that Google doesn't really issue hit man shots too and share your post from your site and also stay active in your writing.

Yes, as soon as i'm done creating and editing new content the way I want it I always go to google first and do a url inspection, then if all is well, I request indexing.
This is still working well with google, but with bing for the last month or so, ill do a url inspect but then get the message in my question above, I have been requesting indexing anyways on bing even after the error message but I dont think they are getting indexed.
