Hi Karen

Apply for one non-Amazon affiliate link to complete the training module.

If you don’t have traffic you won’t sell anything and Google will typically rank a new sight without affiliate links faster.

Frank 🎸

Thanks Frank, that’s good to know!

You’re Welcome, Karen! 😊

I had the same concern and many others too. You can keep on training and go back to areas to check off. That's what I did.

Thanks for the tip!

Hi Karen...my thoughts are it depends on who you want to add as an affiliate. Amazon requires 3 sales within 180 days so that might be problematic due to traffic, but others affiliates like Clickbank, are easy to add. Hope that helps a bit.

Susan :-)

Hi Susan, yes it does thanks! I will steer clear of amazon for the time being but clickbank is an option. I just need to decide which products to promote

Great choice, Karen. Best of luck with choosing your products. 👍🏻😊

Thanks Susan and happy Christmas!

Anytime, Karen! Happy Christmas to you and yours as well. 🎁🎄

Hi - just as an aside, do you have Google Search Console set up?

As your site is approaching six months old and you have a lot of content, Google should soon be looking at your earliest posts to consider where to rank them.

So, assuming you have done some thorough keyword research and chosen low-competition keywords, once your posts start ranking, you will hopefully see some traffic.

Search Console will show you the current position of your posts and which keywords they are ranking for.

Hi Diane, yes I do have it. I have been careful with my choices of keywords so hopefully things will start perking up soon

I echo what many others are saying. I also went through the training wanting you to place affiliate links and sign up for them. I marked them complete without doing so as I'm not ready for affiliate links but am ready to continue learning.

Less is often more, and sites that don't feel like they care about you whipping out that credit card are the ones who will build long term recurring visitors who appreciate the value you bring them.

Regards,

Jason

That’s a very good point, I’ve been focusing on adding value to my content and helping people. My website has only been up and running since early July so I have to give it time. Thanks for your good advice!

Except for Amazon, who require you to have 3 sales in 180 days or they'll delete your account, you can sign up with affiliates whenever you like.

Then as you build up traffic, you can insert affiliate links as appropriate, even though they may not rank until further down the track.

Thanks Phil, that's useful information

You are most welcome, Karen.

You should have at minimum of 15 to 20 unique and high value posts that are drawing growing traffic and are indexed in Google before considering joining.

Thanks Mike, that makes sense

So much this. I have seen several blogs that are mostly informational and only have one or a few affiliate links and they regularly do 5 figures a month in affiliate revenue. More isn't always more, and there is something to be said as well for always offering something of value and earning a trust many affiliate sites simply never will because the entire site screams they view you as a wallet.

Jason that is very encouraging! My website is definitely not going to be one of those money-grabbing ones, I want to do this the right way and still be profitable

You can continue adding more content to your site. And continue with the training. Later you can research and find better affiliate programs to add to your relevant content. If you already know the program you want to promote and have the link you can add them when you are creating content.
In my humble opinion there is not a set of period to start adding affiliate links and you don't need to wait to have enough visitors to do that.

Hi Sebastian, I might just add in a couple of affiliate links now while I'm still adding content and I will go back to the start of the affiliate training to recap my knowledge. Thank you!

Yes.

I would let them marinate in the search engines before adding/turning them into commercial intent.

Thanks, I can do marinating!

That's great and good to hear.

Hi Karen…I haven’t experienced that but many are having the issue. It’s probably another update causing a glitch. Hopefully it will be alright.

Susan

Hi Susan, it seems to have sorted itself out now, thank goodness!

Great! Good news. 😉

Hi, Karen

My Jaaxy results seem to be ok, but others have also reported your issue.

Frank

Thanks Frank, it seems to be ok now!

Thanks everyone, I'll try your suggestions and see what happens!

Yes, it's happening to me too. There's a lot of updates happening in the Research menu item and it looks like a bug has crept in. Hopefully, it'll get sorted soon.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues. Have you tried clearing out your cashe?

Also, try using a shorter keyword (if you haven’t already)…sometimes long tail keywords do not bring back much.

Also, if you’ve run a search in the past that came back with a lot of suggestions — try re-running that one to see if you get the same results.

Jaaxy seems to be running normally for me — so try clearing out your browsers cashe first.

-Mike

Try to refresh your browser as Jaaxy is working you can also use Ctrl plus F5 to refresh
