Persistence Pays Off In The End

Happy Friday to all at WA! This week has sped by and now we're going into the weekend.

I wanted to talk about persistence today; this is something I know a lot about. When I was a child and there was something I really, really wanted I would be like a broken record, pestering my poor parents until they either gave in and bought it for me, or warned me that one more word about it and I was asking for trouble!

Thankfully, it was usually the former rather than the latter. I could be very persuasive.

But this is not a bad thing. The lesson that I learned from being a pain in the rear end was that if I kept going, I would eventually get what I wanted. And this is useful to me as an adult.

How?

Well, now that I've found Wealthy Affiliate I can see light at the end of the tunnel. My dreams are in sight. There's no way I'm giving up if I hit a bump in the road. I'm focused on success and that's what I will achieve. Nothing can stop me. I will be persistent.

But so many people give up at the first hurdle. They jump right in, thinking that this time next week, they will be rich, driving a flashy new car and swaggering around their 20-bedroom mansion, admiring their collection of Rolex watches.

But guess what? A week passes and they're still in exactly the same position. They've built their shiny new website, but no one has found it. Worse, they've put in an order for a Bentley, for which they are facing eye-watering monthly payments if they don't scrape up over £100,000 in the next 4 weeks.

But instead of thinking it through logically and being patient, they decide this online marketing thing is a load of crap and they throw in the towel. The Bentley is cancelled and so are their dreams of living the high life.

These people are never going to get anywhere in life. To succeed you have to be willing to grit your teeth and keep going, even when the going gets tough. You never know, your big breakthrough could be right around the corner and if you give up, your life will never change.

So if your journey seems a bit bumpy right now, don't give up. Be persistent. Keep going. You'll be glad you did.
