Craigslist Marketing

Anybody working this unorthodox style now-a-days?

This is actually what I first started doing after joining WA. I remembered seeing a bunch of ads on my job search about 4 months ago. So, when I learned what Affiliate Marketing was through WA and how it worked...some things started to click. My first week at WA I had made over $100 off 5 sales and then stopped doing it because I got deep in my website and the training here. I started again yesterday, got over 100 hits just to the link I was promoting, but no sales (this was because I chose a HORRIBLE program that froze after their capture page) .

i was just wondering if I was the only one working off craigslist to this day, or if anyone else had some tips, tracks, success, or failure stories.

Thank you all and hope all is going well!

Not a big thing here in Australia. As in zilch.

you can run ads anyplace...does not have to Aussialand :-) I would focus on the U.S. as I know it works here..

Thanks for your post. I have never tried Craig's list for marketing my site but it is sure worth a shot.

Have you ever thought of doing a training on your success so others At WA could benefit? I for one would love to learn more from you!:):)

Not sure if you were talking to me? but is so yes it is on my list of things to do :-)

LOL!!! I was trying to add a comment to JtStrectch to compliment him on his creative move with Craig's List and thank him for his post. But, whomever does the training can count me in!:):):)

Just select Reply on the thread you want to respond to, it's the same as in Chat. :) Rich. x

Thank you, Luv...follow the yellow brick road.. thread your way to OZ...:):)

Yeah...I think I'm going to a Craigslist one (my most experience) but I'm still a newbie and learning so much! I'll probably get it up this weekend, since work has been keeping me late! I'd love to help teach and I thank you so much for wanting to learn from me!

Need to know knowledge with excellent replies to needed thoughful queries that assist many in need of your expertise, skilled research , and openness in sharing valued opinions...All that add posts and ideas related to these marketing thoughts are ~ propagating the self-efficacy theory ~ and reinforcing a more effective mindset of your set of beliefs..A little literal psychology to assist us..TIA,for insighfulness. charles

Craigslist is a great way to get pinpoint traffic... I have used it and have lots of experience. Run test ads and see what works...It is like doing split testing....It really isn't rocket science but I can say for sure it works...It does take lots of ads and they need to be tested...

For sure you need to send that traffic to your landing page or website...They don't like and won't put up with links going to a affiliate site even WA..

Good advice, I'll give that a try! Maybe if I had some links on my craigslist ad, and allowed people to buy from my site, I wouldn't have to deal with scammers sending me fake money orders!

In my experience with Craigslist is If you post ads from affiliate links everyone thinks of you as a spammer. They don't like the idea of programs on Craigslist. They like physical items to buy not information items, or any online working opportunities. This is why Mama2karsten had great luck with her estate sale because the costumer come over to her sale and touch, and see what they were buying.

I am interested in this also, could do with some kind of walkthrough though!

I tried to sign up as affiliate at click bank but couldn't get my email verification message to go thru and it also asked for tax ID but won't let me enter it so i gave up.

I've run into some fake responders to my Craigslist ads! A friend told me he was very successful selling his art, so I posted my art. I pretty much spent 5 hours responding to loads of emails about my product. I thought, wow, I'm going to sell out! Well, I actually had one guy send me a fake Money Order for $1200 which my bank froze. He had asked me to wire him a refund, haha! I'm still posting ads but not getting any real bites!

I used it after a friend told me the possibilities using only craig's list advised me to do this before I moved... I raised more than I ever imagined... and we did not end up having the estate sell as everything was gone by the time Saturday arrived... which was a shocker to me. What Iearned was, it works best with great photos and well written descriptions... and accessibly. I even decided to get one of those "square" credit card readers so we could take credit cards and sell bigger tickets... and it worked!!... we were able to take credit cards...

I think it depends what you are trying to sell... She buys and sells used cars there... goes to garage sales and buys stuff for re-sale... she does very well and has done it for a while, so she has a good sense as to what sells and what doesn't. Will be glad to share more detail when I have more time...

I'm not using Craigslist but I'm also very interested to hear if other people are, and exactly how they've been able to use it as a positive resource...

Do you use clickbank?

No Clickbank for me yet. I don't know much about it really and have just signed up and been approved by a couple of affiliate programs including Share a Sale and Amazon. Do you recommend Clickbank?

I recommend it as the best website to make affiliate sales and the best commissions for affiliate sales.

As far as for your customers, I recommend Amazon. You won't make as much money with Amazon (I'm talking with AZ you're making 4-15% with CB you're making mostly 50%-75%).

But, for my niche, ClickBank is the absolute best.

With CB on craigslist I promote a survey program. They provide the buyer with hundreds of companies willing to pay this person for taking surveys. For them providing these companies they charge an upfront fee, rather than taking a percentage of every survey reward that person gets. I get the commission off the upfront fee. On craigslist I'll offer a paid surveying position, no link in the post just a general description. Then I'll say if you want more info reply to the ad. Take the replies, tell them a bit more, and send them to either my website, a landing page, or straight to the affiliate link.

Very, very risky procedure due to CL's policies, but so far I've followed all the rules and seen a glimpse of profit vs amount of work I've put in.

Hey Jeff. If you're interested in Clickbank, take a look at this training: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-pick-a-clickbank-product-to-promote Rich.

Thanks for sharing that link Rich, I'll check it out right now!
