I've noticed on every keyword I'm ranked on the 1st page for, I'm only getting beat out by YouTube views. Why is this and how can I change that? I'm the first website on the pag
People can add the autoplay code to a Youtube on their site, but Google won't count the views. The only autoplay views that it counts are those that take place on the Youtube website. If you don't care about the view-count, you might want to use autoplay. Another thing to consider is how visitors to your site might react to clicking on your link and having a video automatically start playing.
Hi Jtstretch,
You can just add a YouTube video to your article's page on your website.I always have one on my sites. The video doesn't have to be super long. I create my own, but there are people at fiverr.com who will create it for you for five bucks. Be sure to name the video after the keywords you are targeting. That way, when people type in the keywords, your video comes up.
Make sure your video has a good message about your product and is not just filler. A simple point -bulletin of key points in your article would work fine. Think of yourself as the viewer. What would you consider as being worthwhile content if you were to click on the video? If you like, you can read the points in your own voice, much as you see with the video training provided here.
If you want to create the video yourself, do a search on creating a Youtube trailer using Window Movie-maker. You can also use Animoto. I don't care for Animoto because on their free videos, they include their very prominent logo at the end of the trailer. Ideally, you want something about your article or product to be the last impression in viewers' mind.
Also, take a look at this tutorial to see if it can help you:

Much success to you.
You can also get a YouTube video to autoplay by adding "&autoplay=1" (not including the quotes) to the embed code after the video ID. The video ID is the part following the 'v' after 'www.youtube.com'
Example: "http://www.youtube.com/v/OdT9z-JjtJk&autoplay=1"
This could help catch the eye of the reader and keep him on the site longer which should help with rankings as I believe that google take into account the length of time a visitor is on the site as part of their ranking algorithm.
Oh, you have a blog post and a Discussion about this. I already put my response under your blog post one.
Yeah I didn't mean to put it in the discussion. So I added one to to my blog after I realized where I had put it!
Maybe getting authorship would help. I think the videos are so strong because of those little snippets beside them.
I have some authorship..I mean SA, Articlesbase, squidoo, working on Ezine and Yahoo Contributor as well. Also got WA here too linked to my google +. Any more authorship tips or sites to be writing for?
I`m a week into this lol. I don`t want to lead you astray so go ask someone else. Also, all I know about is authorship between google+ and my site. How did you get WA authorship?
You know more than I know about the video side of things..I can guarantee that lol. Keep going strong if you're only a week in. It only gets more fun.
It's a pain in the a$$ but it's worth it when you do. Picking the right keywords is the trick, it's basically instant.
Sure I can manage to get exact match to number one instantly, but it doesn`t seem to get me any search visits. And I don`t believe in instincts, birds fly south for the winter cause it`s cold, know what I mean?
I know what you mean about being number one Google. Doesn't seem to translate to many visits? Looking forward to see what volume of traffic via Youtube.
You should read this article. He says a site with a video is 50X for likely to rank number one, and it doesn't have to even be yours!

Interesting! But how does that work legally? Can I just put up any old video no questions asked?
If the embed code is available, and it usually it, sure you can embed it. Remember, when it gets seen on your site their View Count goes up.

Why not try putting a You Tube video on your site and see what happens?
