You answered his question Gary.Thanks

Greetings John,

Sorry for being off your original question I came here to help out Mike originally.

I am not sure I fully understand your question?
If you have written something and posted it anywhere that brings folks back to WA for signup you would earn a commission.

Someone who likes something you have written or shares or whatever can not be commissioned for your work if that is your question.

Personally you would be much better served using G+ I think; My best,

Gary

Thanks for your reply. I admit I could have made my question more clear. Let me rephrase.

When you look at the top of this page on WA you see a Facebook like button. My question was referring to the use of that function. Is the link back that is placed on Facebook your affiliate link or the affiliate link of the one who wrote the post? Or neither?

Maybe that's how I should have formulated the question in the first place.

I do have a G+ account but I have never really used it. All my friends are on Facebook and I've connected with them there. I prefer the approach of mastering one medium and then moving on to the next instead of trying to tackle all platforms at once and not being very good at any of them.

John,
The like above is for what you wrote all the likes are for what people have written. So if someone likes this you would know it but it has nothing to do with earning any sort of commission.

While it is great to have your friends on FB until they start giving you business, I would focus on something like a G+ that is more likely to help you grow your business.

The choice is entirely up to you however, you can lead a horse to water...
Gary

Thanks for your advice. I've already revisited my G+ account, but I have to learn how things work there.

John,

Understood I was not trying to rush you at all. I was just trying to show you the difference between FB and G+ is all.

On FB there is just way too much personal non-business stuff that for me acts as a distraction, and people waste a lot of time there that they could be using to learn how to get 1st page Google?

To each their own, all my best,
Gary

My Facebook profile is for personal stuff. And I have a Facebook page for business. I don't write business stuff on my profile but I share and like what I write on my page publicly on my profile.

I do get your point but Google (search engine) isn't the default go to place to search for info anymore. Social media sharing has been taking over.

I'm not opposed to G+ as alternative to Facebook but I never hear anyone talk about it except here on WA. However if the people who are so successful on WA are using G+ instead of Facebook, I will follow their lead.

You either love FB or hate them and although I don't dislike them they've never served me well for business.

I have resisted "joining" Facebook fully for years. Is it an advantage to join and will it be necessary to further the success in WA?
And again, I take exception to this line (Notice: Your ability to Ask Questions ends in 6 days.) on this and other pages. It is pressurizing the whole situation and not doing much good for better results, especially when one is old and needs time to wrap his or her head around everything. What am I going to do after 6 days? I am not a young Whipper Snapper anymore and probably incapable of competing with any of them; but, I tell you, I have a lot more experiences in things you couldn't even dream of anymore!

Mike,

Sorry if you feel pressure, WA is not designed for that, but like any business it needs folks to decide if it is the Learning Opportunity you have been searching for or not.
Either way is fine...

This is really all about you and your honest desires. You have found a wonderful learning platform that I personally spent a very long time looking for.
I was also scammed with upsells and lies many times before I discovered this amazing resource so I can understand your feelings.

Please don't ever feel pressured at all, get to know the layout and chat with folks about your dreams and what you would like to accomplish.

1 upsell here, Premium Membership, right out in the open.
You will not find any more information for more money to buy into any other levels here, because they don't exist.

I dropped you a note in your bio too Mike,I hope this helped to clarify WA for you a bit better, should you need any help with anything in the classes drop me a note anytime, my best,

Gary
PS
As for FB if you are serious about business they can be OK, certainly NOT a necessity however, in fact most business folks tend to gravitate towards G+ I think.

Thanks Gary! I really need time, I am fighting with Wordpress now. I had used some of it many years ago but this is going way beyond it.

For my VAT admin I need a copy of the bill for my monthly Premium subscription. But I can't find anything within my profile or settings page. All I find is when I paid my last

Receipts should be issued when you make a purchase. They are usually required for tax purposes. At least in Canada they are.

Good ideas Dick and Katie!
Ed

Paypal is the easiest method.

You do not get a receipt as such from WA, however if your paying with pay pal you can download it there or it will show on your credit card bill... as WA is in the USA they will not have V.A.T. subscriptions work a bit differently to buying goods or services

Hi - for my tax return (in the UK), I've just used PayPal statements too - and I've not had any issues raised about them by the accountant.

All the best, Mark

I use PayPal statements too (The Netherlands)

I am using PayPal. I will just keep using that then.

When I look on the Rank page and at the top menu bar on the page I see my rank being one number but when I look at one of the posts I've written I see a different rank on my pi

The system is just trying to confuse you John. Trying to keep you on your toes.

I'll consider myself warned

Rank changes all the time and I assume as we are all on different time zones it will vary

Yes it takes time for your blue rank button to catch up to your rank on your profile.

Marty:)

I guess and am quite sure about that it counts Your activities over the day and makes them public through the "new" ranking when it's syncronizing time in WA terms...

Kay

It synchinizes about 6 hours later, always has been this way:)

Seems to be common. Up by my picture it says my rank is 161 but my profile and the rank page says 156. I'm happy with both lol.

Yes I think we probably notice it more that the members in the US, the profile ranks seem to be updated separately (and earlier) to the rank stats.

The system seems to fluctuate a bit . Depends also what level of engagement other members have as well . It sorts it self out eventually.

The WA Ranking system isn't live. It's updated every 24 hours. Same with a few of the other statistics.

Here a picture that illustrates what I'm talking about.
