Everything Has Gone Wrong This Week

Hi All,

Do you ever get a week to forget, I think I have had mine this week. lol !!!

Every day I have walked my three dogs and we all got soaked, it has rained every day. I walk Jess on her own due to being very old, on Monday we met crazy woman who reported my dogs twice a few months ago. Now Jess is so placid and good natured, all she wants to do is sniff around.

This crazy woman picked up her small dog as Jess and I walked past, her small dog was growling in her arms, Jess wouldn't harm any one, it was laughable.

Next to my old car I was getting rid of, decided it would have a brake light failure, so I bought a couple of new bulbs. I fitted them but my car dashboard was still telling me brake light failure, how can that be !! I have now booked the car into the garage to sort out.

On Tuesday I decided to check the tyre pressures on my car, one of my rear tyre pressures was much less than the other three. It is the inconvenience of travelling to a garage to get the tyre checked out.

The tyre had no puncture, but was seeping air between the tyre rim and alloy wheels, after waiting in a queue my tyre was eventually repaired.

Now onto Wednesday, after sorting out a few things and finishing breakfast I get my two dogs in the car ready for their walk on yet another wet day. Turning the ignition key to start the car, it never happened, the engine wouldn't turn over due to a flat battery.

To say I was annoyed was an understatement, I went around to knock on my neighbours door for help. He brought his car round onto my drive where we attached the jump leads to both car batteries.

We got my car started very quickly, to my dogs dismay, I took the car for a run before their walk, to try and get some charge back into the battery. When I came back to the car with my dogs we were soaking wet again !!!

My neighbour had come down to where I was parked, he wanted to make sure my car started and I wasn't stranded. This was very good of him.

After taking Jess on her walk, I had yet another visit to a garage, this time to get my battery checked. Again I had to take my place in the customer queue, when it was my turn they put a meter test on my battery which was still under warranty.

Guess what ?? My battery failed the test and needed replacing, it was still under warranty by just six weeks. They didn't have a battery to suit my car in stock, unbelievable !!!! The garage managed to locate the correct battery which was going to be delivered to the garage soon so I had to wait.

Eventually the battery arrived and was fitted free of charge, this took over two and a half hours from arriving to getting in my car and leaving.

My dogs fit in a two door key lockable car dog crate with a divider down the middle. Today after taking my two dogs for a walk, I return home and unlock Luna's dog crate door and she jumps out, but when I went to unlock Kass's dog crate door the key snapped in the lock.

You couldn't make this up, even if you tried. Luckily no one was in ear shot as my language was not the best, basically poor Kass was imprisoned in his dog crate. After a short while I managed to free Kass to his relief and mine.

Tomorrow my car goes into the garage to sort out the brake light fault, I hope no other surprises are surfaced.

This has been a nightmare week, one of those weeks where I am doing a lot of running round but not getting anything done.

Hopefully your week has been a lot smoother and easier, unless some of you are affected by hurricane Irma.

Thank you,

You certainly got your share of bad luck.......hopefully Karma will step in with some good luck!

Thank you, Michael.

I am waiting for something good to happen, perhaps better luck next week will come.

John

Oh! No! I pray you get it all sorted very soon!

Some people have the belief bad luck comes in a threesome. When you are one of them, change your thoughts;)

Thank you, Loes.

Perhaps better luck will start next week, it will only take one thing, anything really to change my thoughts.

John

Lol, John I guess when thinks are going to go wrong they will. I guess you will be happy to see this week behind you.

Thank you, Harvey.

Roll on next week, that is all I can say, pal !!!!

John

I have this stuff going on all the time. I am hoping that it will end and I can enjoy a long period of time without problems.

Absolutely, John.

I am hoping a run of bad luck will change to a run of good luck.

Thank you,

John

I do hope this all happened to your old car (and I bet the dogs would be happy if that is true)!

I would like to add one thing: a typical question from a man to a woman. Regarding the brake light failure - 'Did you check the fuses'.

Just joking. The way cars are going fuses are probably obsolete!

Thank you, Helen.

It was all with my old car, I was thinking about giving the car a reprieve. Hopefully next week will be better. The brake light was a loose connection with the bulb holder.

John

Holy Moly! I sure hope you get all your troubles sorted out. And soon!

Hi Hal,

Hopefully next week will be much better.

John

That has been some week John. Good on you for having the energy and sense of humor to provide us with an entertaining post.

I felt for you most when reading about poor Kass being imprisoned in his crate. That must have been horrible for the two of you, and no doubt Luna was wondering what was going on.

Such a week could not be repeated!

Wishing you a fantastic week ahead :)

Thank you, Valerie.

Yes it was an entertaining post and poor Kass being "imprisoned". I wish they could understand, if you told them what had happened.
Hopefully next week will be much quieter and problem free.
You have a lovely weekend also.

John

Boy when it rained it really poured didn't it John! At least WA is working out (knock knock)!

Thank you, Mike.

WA and lovely members like yourself helps to raise the mood again.

John

Wow John...well at least none of these things involved injury or illness for you your wife or your dogs! You are better off then this time last year!

I know you must be annoyed though! We have a battery pack that has jumper cables so we can jump a car anytime we may need to. It also has an air compressor built in so we can pump up tires anytime too. It is battery powered so you can keep it in your car. You can plug it in to charge it or plug it in while you are using it if you want also. I can't imagine not having one of these! I have used the air compressor so many times and jumped the car several times too!

Thank you, Jessica.

If I can get this week out of the way with no more hiccups, I will be happy. I have a tyre inflator that plugs into the car cigarette lighter socket. Perhaps I should by a lottery ticket and see if my luck changes. lol !!
