It can sometimes be very easy to not use the time effectivly and sometimes... somethings that should take about an hour to do takes 3. What is your best tips to stay focused on a task?

I found myself getting sidetracked from doing what I supposed to do lately. Maybe you have experienced the same problem?

I had lost focus... and when I realized it I was a little bit ashamed over myself. How can I be so stupid, that is very important time wasted... I could have done 2 or even 3 things during that time on the list I write (for every day things to accomplish).

Think about it, are you really focused all your time here?? Could you perhaps do a lot more with your time spent here at WA?

Well, if you are NOT focused it is a pretty big chance that you probably could do 2 or even 3 times more in those hours you spend here.

A reminder for myself and every one in this community :)

This week has been bad for focus, but I have had a lot going on this week! Mostly family stuff and a death in the family! So, focus hasn't been there! But I know it will get better next week!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Pain either breaks us or makes us stroger. Make sure you pick the last aternative :)

Thank you! I definitely will!

I just follow my daily plan for things to do within WA, I do it when I can, work on site when more time at hand, lately working at night most of the time as that is when Peter sleeps.

That´s great! As long as you have a daily plan you are doing great! Did you read about the test being made on goalsetting and how important it is?

It is a must read. Here it is: To be honest I mostly work late hours also, especially now when it is summer... Like to be outside on the days. That is one of the best benefits of working from home in my opinion, that you get to choose your own hours.

I like to open another browser, put on some youtube music with my head phones on while I work on my sites.

Thank you Paul! That might work well for some, for me I find it hard to listen to music and work at the same time... Depends on what kind of work maybe, and also what kind of music ;)

Yeah!....it depends, but smooth jazz instrumentals and soulful R&Bs; usually makes me relax and concentrate.

That's a coincidence, I am busy writing a training about his:)

There is no such things as coincidences Loes ;) You simply read my mind :) Lol!

Quite sure:) I am clairvoyant:)

No problem, think it happen to everyone!

Lol! Thank you!

Mini breaks, even for five minutes, every hour or so help :)

Great advice! Thank you!

When you get hundreds of emails it is hard to focus.....

LOL!

Focus on what you like and intersperse your concentration with mini rest breaks and you will get much more work done/time.

Great tips! Thank you!

I tend to focus more on what I get done in a day rather than in hours - if it takes a while it's still a job well done and it's hard to measure how long some tasks will take - I've been fortunate in that some tasks have been quicker than I imagined

Very true! Sometimes it will take more time than we think, and that is of corse totally fine.

Thank you!

Be scheduled. Have a plan and then we can more easily track our progress.

Think that is the absolute way also, I found something very interesting, a test study that was made about goal setting and how important it is to do it the right way.

I wrote the results down in this blogpost:
