It's NOT fair that you are slamming Felicia Lin's reputation on this thread publicly.

This is not in the spirit of WA, as the CEO of Wealthy Affiliate YOUR opinion has an incredible amount of weight here Kyle,.and in doing so you are inflicting unjust harm on Felicia Lin

Do you realize how Great a negative impact your undue assessments and opinions could have on Felicia Lin? Your comments have the potential of CRUSHING her well-earned credibility, which is totally unfair.

They offer over 120 workshops annually on various topics in NYC alone. They ONLY will invite social media experts, influencers, and highly knowlegeable and competent instructors like Ms. Lin to speak publicly on many topics of public interest.

Felicia Lin has been invited by SCORE NYC to be a keynote speaker on Instagram and other social media at 5 of those workshops in the past 12 months. She is the REAL Deal.

BTW, her profile on Instagram isn't a personal profile, its a business profile.

It's not only about how many followers you can procure, its about the QUALITY of your followers. There are many out there with 50K plus followers for "show" alone, but they cannot convert them into customers.

And its the quality of knowledge and education one can convey that determines who is the expert.

There are some great IG experts who don't have close to the amount of followers some pedestrians have, because they spend more time on pedagogy than on their own accounts. It is about the degree of knowledge and the ability to teach success that makes one an authority. And Ms. Lin has earned that.

Felicia Lin is an EXPERT on the Instagram platform, and is an authority in the Instagram space. Period.

She has EARNED it through her real-world experience, her insightful teachings, her endorsement by reputable organizations, .......and could stand equal to ANY IG expert in the online space.

Now I thought twice about replying to this comment Kaju, but I chose too, because I slightly disagree with what you have written to Kyle and I'm not writing this as a "I'm fan of Kyle, don't slag him off" touch, but more from this perspective

What he writes, like what you write, is valid and educational. Now I read his article the first time and my initial reaction was, that he was actually confirming, like you were how good IG is, but in a different way

He was also saying that for those, like me, who can't get to Felicias training, that there are equally good trainings, available online... I live in the UK and so, much as I would like to, can't get to NYC, so have to access my IG training, if I chose to online

Then I read your reply to Kyle and then I re~read, both yours and his posts again and my conclusion was that you both have exceptionally valid and good points, that we can all benefit from on this platform

I hear what you say Dave, and I applaud you for your courage to reply and give your opinion.

Commenting that there is equally good training out there online (as you say here) would have been totally acceptable; that would also be valid and educational and helpful to the community. But unfortunately that is not all that he is saying here.

It seems like you missed reading the last sentence of my article Dave. Because if you read it, you would know that Kyle is not saying what you claim he is in your comment ".....for those, like me, who can't get to Felicia's training in NYC, that there are equally good trainings available online" because as I state Felicia's training course will also be available online.

He is using his powerful influence to discredit and disparage an individual's professional credibility in a way that can be greatly damaging to her career - an individual who is highly respected and has rightfully Earned her grade as as EXPERT in her field for reasons I already mentioned; and who is currently recognized by SCORE NYC, one of the largest chapters of one of the top business counseling and mentoring organizations in the USA that has been in business thriving for 55 years and who invites Felicia Lin as their resident expert to regularly give lectures on Instagram for them.

Discrediting the reputation of any innocent person (even if unintentional) for any reason especially one you have never met is completely unacceptable.

To say I was really surprised when I read his comment would be a huge understatement. Felicia Lin is a wonderful and beautiful human being who is loved by many and certainly does not deserve this.

Then to add insult to injury, there is the Featured Comment that was added later to attract even more attention. That's totally egregious.

Many others have told me privately they are shocked and appalled. Frankly I do not understand what the motivation is behind it.

I am one of those you referred to who is both shocked and appalled by this discussion, Kaju. I am saddened and concerned about Kyle's response to Kaju's recent post "Massive Instagram Appeal".Never in a million years would I have expected something like this to happen within the hallowed halls of WA.

I have read all five of Kaju's posts discussing the excitement, enthusiasm, and success of Felicia Lin's Instagram workshops. I was impressed by the engagement of the audience shown in the photographs in all of them as well as Ms. Lin's use of appropriate visual aids to clarify her points and add interest to her presentations.

It was obvious to me that she was confident and enjoying making her presentation, and that her audience was glued to her every word.

I have never known Kyle to attack the validity of an outside speaker in our public forum like this before. From what I read on Ms. Lin's Instagram blog, Kyle's assessment of her suitability as a trainer in this area appears to be mistaken. He stated that he had researched the speaker and "it is more than apparent they are using a "follow' to get follows back "strategy".

I am puzzled about where he found that information or why he came to that conclusion because the first article I encountered when I clicked on Felicia Lin's Instagram bio was an article in which she was cautioning her readers to do just the opposite...to AVOID this strategy.

I do not understand why Kyle would cast doubt about Ms. Lin's professional ability to provide workshops on the subject of social media. She is a well known speaker in New York City and has been repeatedly featured as a keynote speaker by groups such as Score NYC, who provides free business counseling to small business owners.

I am saddened to see our esteemed co-founder, "our Kyle" making what to me feels like a huge mistake. We look to our co-founder to provide us with knowledge, training, and encouragement as well as to be our problem solver.

We trust that he cares about us, our success, and our growth in learning online marketing skills.

I am unhappy seeing the image that I have in my head of Kyle, our "knight in shining armor", tarnished by what to me appears to be an undeserved and unfair attack on Ms. Lin's professional qualifications and ability to lead the seminars that have proven to be so successful.

Quite frankly, it makes me question the validity of WA and wonder if what I thought was a wonderful opportunity to learn online marketing and improve my financial situation was just a lovely pipe dream after all.

If someone had told me yesterday that I would ever be considering not renewing my annual membership when it comes due in November, I would have told them that they were crazy. Wild horses couldn't have budged me on my conviction that WA is the greatest opportunity online.

Today I am wondering if we have all been duped and it has all been a lovely mirage.

My knee jerk reaction to this situation is that both Felicia Lin and Kaju deserve and are owed an apology, because Kaju's credibility has also been damaged by this situation.

It is my earnest hope that the credibility of WA itself and the trust our members have in the program has not been damaged beyond repair by this situation.

I wonder how many other members reading Kaju's post and Kyle's response have lost their belief that they can make a difference in their lives by trusting in the program and our leaders. To me, it is a very sad day at WA.

I'm relieved that other people take publicly the defence of Kaju and Felicia, because they do a great job and they don't deserve to be attaked in this way.
It's been months since Kaju talks Felicia's wonderful work with Instagram and I don't understand why there is such virulence suddenly.
It's disrespectful, unfair and mean!!!
Like you, I am really disappointed and shocked by this unfair and gratuitous message that comes from a person so respected by everyone. The same person who asks us to respect each others.
I have also done research on Felica and she's a person who does a fair and respectful job.
