I'm Out Camping!
I’m out camping Ladies and Gents,
just wanted to let you know as I needed to take a brief breather!
So I “jetted” off for upstate NY for the weekend and I’m ready to pitch the tent!
Supposedly there are some coyotes, brown bears there in upstate NY, and even some alligators (oh no! ), so I will make sure I sleep with “one eye open.”
Also I hear all kinds of “critters” crawling about on the floor at night in the forest….. Ehseshhh!
I am a city boy, not used to all this nature, so I really hope I can REST!
Let me NOW distract myself and think of some good niches....overnight camping near me could be a great niche, right?!!

I DO have my smartphone with me, so I might even respond soon while wrapped inside my sleeping bag - but then again I might not.
There is always a chance, especially being out in the wild if I ever get bored at night or scared!
If I need 911, I will call you guys for Help!

Well, glad I missed them! I did put some salt 'n lemon on them grasshoppers, and ate 'em for breakfast!
Holy cow Kaju! That sounds like a lot of fun! My tip to newbie city boys camping out: Think FOOD! All these critters, wild animals are actually din-din to a seasoned outdoors person. And you can do it too.
All you need is fire, salt and lemon...and some bread rolls... plus a glass of wine. Instead of you becoming dinner to some of these, you cook them before they eat you.

You're right! Thinking about Bear Grylls now Joe, and what he would've done. The problem is as soon as I got there, and set up my tent, I was already looking to call take out! LOL!
But I not only survived, had alot of FUN!!
Sorry, not a fan........My idea of camping is $250/night, chocolates on my pillow and an on call masseuse!
But have fun anyway................................

Yes Jocelyn, a park ranger told me that last week there was a reported "bear" sighting clutching a bag of money $$$ - "Honey" Bears and "Sugar Daddy" Sasquatches I was told are a not-so-uncommon occurrence these days in the region.
This has become an affluent area of the forest due to recent gentrification:)

It's all okaa-yy! ... as your Northern neighbours, we're used to being around wildlife & plenty of nature -- just sometimes we're concerned about the two-legged kind in the urban jungle...lol! ....enjoy plenty of r&r... and fresh outdoor air is good... thanks kindly for posting & sharing your 'camping' adventure -- love it! ... keep well & cozy ... (plus, remember to keep your foodstuffs way up high so the bears can't get to it!) .... cheerio... :)

I feel SO out of my element outside my "urban jungle" with you "northern folks" knowing how to keep cozy and how to "keep the foodstuff high so bears can't get it - like true outdoors-people!
