All I want is to have a side menu bar so I could place my main menu, private policy, categories, disclaimer

Many Thanks,
Jocelyn

Hi, if you haven't yet resolved your sidebar problem the simplest way is to download a sidebar plugin which will work with most themes. You can then build your side bar with what ever widgets you would like and place your sidebar wherever you wish. Here you can download a plugin from WP https://wordpress.org/plugins/content-aware-sidebars/ Goodluck, Graham

First make sure your theme supports sidebar, if it does, just follow this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-navigation-menu-in-wordpress-beginners-guide/ , cheers.

Go to your back office and use one of the widgets available to choose from or even consider a plugin

Does your theme support a sidebar? If it doesn't, you will net to get a new theme that has a sidebar.
I hope this helps.
All the best,
Wendi :)

To use the WordPress Text Widget:
Go to Appearance > Customize in the WordPress Administration Screens and click the Widget menu in the Theme Customizer. ...
Open the sidebar to which you wish to add the Text Widget.
Find the Text Widget in the list of Widgets.
Click and drag the Widget to the spot you wish it to appear.

If the above does not help have a look at the list of Marion’s training videos below

Hope this helps

Hi there, lesson 7 under online entrepreneur certification: that's the first level of training, shows you how to add widgets and menus. Log in to website manager, click on appearance you should find menus there. The video in the lesson will assist you.

Best wishes

There's a lesson that teaches about setting up your widgets and menu on the sidebar, your menu can go there. I have a free theme with a sidebar, there are several. In fact, my theme, "2015" only has a sidebar menu. Which theme are you using?

Yoga Theme

I glanced at a few yoga themes and it seems none of them have a sidebar built in. You may need to choose a theme that has one, and then just customize it to have the look you are going for.

if you want to have a theme that does everything you wanted to do you may find you may need to purchase a theme. Nearly everyone who uses a free theme has some difficulties in one way or another

Thank you and I will try that.

Many Thanks,
Jocelyn

You must find a theme that supports a side menu, not all of them do.

Thank you and I will do that.

Cheers,
Jocelyn

How could I put this into my menu using WordPress
FTC & Affiliate Links/Affiliate Disclosures

You got real good answers and advice from the community below

I believe you got the answers below. I hope you solved the problem.

Once you published your pages it should already be in your WP. You have to make the menu and manually puts it in those tabs. Follow the certification programs and it'll show you how.

Making menu How to add affiliate disclosure And that search bar on top of this page where there is a magnifying glass search your questions there if you need more help.

Hope this helps a little. :D

There is a template for an Affiliate Disclosure in SiteContent. Create one for your site as a Page, publish it to Wordpress and mark it as 'noindex' 'nofollow' as you did your Privacy Policy, then add it to your menu.

Hi Onmyownterms,
I did that but straight away it doesn't come up the heading. It should be only affiliate disclosure or disclaimer? Not the body content.

I don't understand your response. Please provide more details. What do you mean by it doesn't come up the heading - you must actually manually add it to your menu.

the whole point of an affiliate disclaimer is to say how you earning money the header alone does not do it you have to write the content

The template has content in it, that is what is confusing me.

I see! That is confusing. What Is missing? The header? The Text?
