Themes
I'm having issues with wordpress themes. or to be more specific, I'm having an issue picking the right theme for my site. I can't seem to get one to work for me. When i find one that has a layout i like, a spanner gets thrown into the works. For example, one i was using the other day was doing a good job until it got to the images of my posts, which were far too big for my liking. Another i employed had some issues, and when i did a bit of research to try and get over them found that others had found its technical support was none existent.
i will persevere with my search until i find the one for me. Admittedly i am only looking for a free theme, maybe further down the line when this thing starts to give me some sort of revenue i will employ a paid theme but for now the search continues.
On a positive note, i am further along with my understanding of SEO. Im no expert by any means, but understand more of how to use them, where to find them, and how to incorporate them into my posts. My journey will only help me improve.

The best theme is 20/13 so easy and user friendly have s look at what I have done with it http://perkune.com
Themes......I was having a difficult time with that as well, but my good friend Loes, gave me a suggestion for my Twenty Thirteen theme. There are actually 7 wordpress themes based on Twenty Thirteen. So....I am now using i-transform. Here is the link if you'd like to check out the themes :-) http://wptavern.com/7-free-wordpress-themes-based-on-twenty-thirteen
When looking at themes look to see when they were most recently updated. That will let you know if the developer is maintaining the theme, In many cases free themes are free for a reason. Don't get me wrong there are some good ones that are free. I use 2 different paid themes. One is Divi from elegant themes and presser from thrive themes. As far as free ones available thru WA, the 2013, 2014,2015 theme from WP are a series that are serviced. Each one looks a little different.
That's the only mistake I have made, not searching for the perfect theme in the beginning, because later on it's almost impossible to change.
Read my blog and the featured comment of IMc (Ian) Change theme, what can you expect?
I do understand what you are saying about themes. I have changed mine several times because something will not work correctly. I am using Iconic One right now and so far so good.
Glad you have a positive attitude and keep moving forward.
Sheila

Hello
It all depends what your Niche is.
It can also depend if its purely a 'Shopping' site you're creating as opposed to a run-of-the-mill promotion site.
Simple is always best and as you say further down the line you could feel confident enough to go for the more in-depth themes for a specific purpose.
have a nice day.
Robert
Hi Robert thanks for the message, my site is clothing(gents jackets) and i want the site to be a mixture of blog posts, reviews, and current sales. Simple is definitely the way forward for me just now!!
Hello again
I think one of these two themes will suit you down to the ground.
