I have gone to site email and created a new email address for a site that I have just created, but I cannot find the 'new email forward button' which used to be next to the new

i think the forward has been removed with the new rules for emails...
so you will need to create an inbox and trhen import that to your usual email system - or check the inbox....

Which new rules, I have not heard about it? Are previously created forward emails still working?

the spam rules from google with the dmarc....
don't know about previous email forwards - i have seen other members mentioning that all emails from site email going into spam...
i don't use those other than replying to the contact page....

OK now I understand. Thank you.

Wow, this has certainly gone under the radar! Thank you for letting me know, I'll need to raise it with tech support to find out what to do about it. This is really worrying becasue it is my main business and people have mentioned finding it difficult to reach me via email!

Thank you for this. I've contacted tech support and this is their response: Traditional email forwards are an outdated method of bringing mail over to a different mail account due to modern spam prevention protocols like SPF. Our mail servers are not authorized to send mail for the origin hosts that are sending mail to you. If it were acceptable to do this, any mailserver could send mail for anybody. Since protocols like SPF were invented, old mail forwards have been getting less and less reliable as receiving servers tighten their spam policies. Preventing this is why policies like SPF were invented. This old, legacy way of bringing mail over to a different mail account has come to an end and should not be used. If you wish to bring mail over from one mail account to another, you need to setup a feature such a gmail's "Settings => See All Settings => Accounts and Import => Check mail from other accounts" feature. You need to set your mail inboxes to receive mail at WA and turn off forwarding.

It seems they removed it in one of their numerous "improvements" without telling anybody.

If you already had it installed, it should still work, I just tested. I have it from earlier days, but it is not in use anywhere. It seems they have disabled the option for new forward mails only while existing will work.

But it is best not to use it at all. Encourage readers to use contact form instead, and there in settings put your private email, it will not be visible. In yahoo, I have reply-only email from which I reply when messages through contact form arrive.

Wow, I thought it was just me who had missed somthing but this seems like a pretty big change to make without informing people! I really don't like contact forms because of all the spam or captcha stuff - it makes people less likely to get in touch.

Yeah, very strange, I was not aware of it. After checking, I realized that in one site's About page my forward email was mentioned, so now changed it to contact form.

Without forward email I do not see any elegant way to deal with site emails. What they replied to you in the last sentence makes no sense to me. How can mails appear in gmail if there is no forward from site to gmail? But I do not use gmail and perhaps I am wrong.

i use gmail and import the inbox - it also sends from gmail and appears to be from the original email sender....
makes it easier to keep control of all the wmails - and i leave them in the inbox....
you just use the smtp settings to import it....

Thank you, but I use yahoo email and such option which they provide is a dead end. Perhaps on purpose, to have a paid account, in any case I am not able to make it work.

But for messages arriving to yahoo from contact forms, I do have send-only mail boxes that formally appear to be from the sites emails. This works and I shall leave it as it is, my sites have become useless in any case, not worth any extra effort.

Merry Christmas Simone!

Mel

Thank you, Mel! I should be wrapping the last of my presents, but here I am setting my daughter up with a new affiliate website as a surprize for tomorrow! She doesn't know about affiliate marketing, but because she is an actress and model, I wanted to show her a way to generate a passive income as her 'bread and butter'!

Merry Christmas to you, too, Mel!

Wow, that's great Simone!
Thank you!

I have created a subdomain for a website that is hosted by WA but was created in GoDaddy originally. I need to add a CNAME record to the subdomain but cannot find the records.

Andy has you covered here, Simone :)

if you host here, you cannot access your control panel, so you are forced to ask site support, but changing a CNAME is a two second job. Remember you will have to wait for it to propagate.

You're going to have to contact SiteSupport for that - https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

They'll be able to add that for you.

Oh! Thank you, it's usually so straightforward that I didn't think I'd need to bother them for that! Thanks for letting me know so quickly!

I did not know subdomains were a thing on go daddy... You would have to transfer main domain then subdomain I would think

Everything Wordpress

Does anyone know how I can connect Neuron Writer to my WA account, please? It would usually link directly to WordPress, but of course there is an extra 'step' going through WA

Features of Neuron Writer: Chrome extension for GDocs, Wordpress integration (export/import specific pages), and Shopify.

It also depends on your stacks with the writer regarding integrations; for example, if you have three stacks or more, you would qualify for GSC and Wordpress integrations.

I have 3 stacks and I can see the option to integrate the two, but I am prompted for login details for wordpress, not WA and I don't know the password. I tried changing it in 'forgotten password'in the wordpress screen and also the 'renew login' details on WA but neither option seems to work. :-)

As far as I know, Neuron Writer does not connect to your WA account. I do not think there is an integration tool for that. Just as you stated, it connects directly to your WordPress. If you want to use SiteContent with Neuron Writer. What you can do is copy and paste the information from SiteContent to Neuron Writer, and then it will do its job and give you the score and the latent semantic keywords with it. That is how I've done it. Not just with Neuron Writer but also with Hemingway Editor Plus (AI). I wish there was an integration tool here like Zapier in which we could use the API keys that would be cool if that happens. 😀

I have tried to transfer a domain name I already own to WA and get the content of my website moved over as well. I used the information on the site rubix to change the DNS, bu

Your website files are on the hosting platform you had before you changed the DNS. Changing the DNS only tells the internet where your files are and if they are still on the old host then they are not accessible. Change the DNA back to the original host and ask Site Rubix support to help you move the files to WA.

Thank you, Marion
Actually I tried that a week ago before I moved it myself and noone replied to my two posts for help with the transfer. It takes 2 days for the transfer to take place and I had to pay my old provider (namesco) to make the transfer to WA so I don't really want to do it again. I don't mind creating a new site, but I need the domain to show up in my dashboard so I can start creating it. :-)

I cannot transfer my domain without it as my current host will not give me a transfer verification code without the Nominet tag

Nothing to do with WA. It's down to nominet - who control the .UK domain extension.

You'll have to get it from them http://www.nominet.uk

Great, I'll look into that, thank you for responding!
