clicks are only paid for if you have a pay per lead agreement...
normally you will only get paid a commission when a sale is made by someone clicking thrrough your link....

There are two types of clicks - organic (free) which comes when search engines crawl your content and index and rank it. When your posts are presented in search results and someone clicks that is free traffic.
If you choose to pay for clicks you sign up for and Ads program and pay for clicks by placing a ad. Those appear at to of search results (look for AD in upper left hand corner). IF you go this route make sure you understand how to do it and how to write an effective Ad otherwise you can spend a lot of money with no return.
When you are just beginning learn now to write content that gets free traffic.

How to change
On the post edit screen, look towards the right-hand sidebar where you will see your document settings. Click on ‘Status and Visibility’ option first. Now you will see a checkbox option for ‘Stick to the Front Page.’ Simply check the box to make the post sticky and then save or publish your post.
You can quick edit your post and pages as sticky and save changes.
They would appear at the top of your websites, you can have more one post as sticky.

Is it inorder to link a coupon on my website for an item is not related to my web niche?
I keep all relevant to my focused niche site, if something is irrelevant I would not link.
However care to explain more what you are trying achieve?
Not sure how old your site is and how much traffic you are getting. but placing a coupon that does not relate to your niche is not a wise idea because your visitors did not come to your site to see an unrelated coupon. Plus the link counts as an affiliate link, I would not add an unrelated link.
Make sure you have at least 60% of your content on your site as information about your niche to grow your traffic. When you get 25,000 visitors to your site in a month you can think about unrelated ads.

When we speak of Major updates to WordPress we are talking about a version ;like 5.0.or 6.0
Hi, you should update especially plugins to make sure that your website works properly.
Luckily, I haven't experienced any update fails so far.
Back up your website first. A good plugin for that is All In One SEO Migration.
If your updates are related to plugins, you can update them. We do it manually. Sometimes when a new version of WP, something like 5.0, 6.0 and even 5.9) is available for update, a plugin may not have been updated yet. This does not happen often,
But make sure you do a backup first so your site can always be restored to what it was before the update..
it is okay, however I'd make sure I back up first before updating | upgrading especially with a major one.
You can use the AIO WP Migration or Updraft plugins. UpdraftPlus is a premium and highly recommended
